Émilius Goulet
Emilius Goulet, PSS (May 15, 1933) was the Roman Catholic Archbishop of St. Boniface in the Province of Manitoba, Canada. He was appointed Archbishop by Pope John Paul II on June 23, 2001 and was consecrated in the Cathedral Basilica of St. Boniface (in the St. Boniface District of Winnipeg), Manitoba on September 13, 2001 by Jean-Claude Cardinal Turcotte, Archbishop of Montreal; Archbishop Maurice Couture, R.S.V.(Religieux de Saint Vincent de Paul), Archbishop of Quebec (City); and Archbishop James Vernon Weisgerber, Archbishop of Winnipeg. Biography Archbishop Goulet was the youngest of 13 children born in St-Isidore de Dorchester, Québec on May 15, 1933. Pope John Paul II
Pope John Paul II ( la, Ioannes Paulus II; it, Giovanni Paolo II; pl, Jan Paweł II; born Karol Józef Wojtyła ; 18 May 19202 April 2005) was the head of the Catholic Church and sovereign of the Vatican City State from 1978 until his death in April 2005, and was later canonised as Pope Saint John Paul II. James Weisgerber
Vernon James Weisgerber (born May 1, 1938) is a Canadian prelate of the Roman Catholic Church. He is the retired sixth Archbishop of Winnipeg, serving from August 2000 until October 2013. Early life and education Weisgerber was born in Vibank, Saskatchewan, to Jack and Catherine Weisgerber. Following his schooling at Vibank, he attended St. Peter's College at Muenster and then St. Paul's University in Ottawa, where he obtained licence degrees in Philosophy and Theology. Priesthood He was ordained a priest at Holy Rosary Cathedral in Regina on June 1, 1963, and named a Prelate of Honour on October 16, 1991. Weisgerber was Dean of Arts at Notre Dame College in Wilcox, where he taught philosophy, religious studies, and French. The Pontifical Biblical Institute (also known as Biblicum) is a research and postgraduate teaching institution specialised in biblical and ancient Near Eastern studies. It is an institution of the Holy See entrusted to the Society of Jesus. The Roman Colleges, also referred to as the Pontifical Colleges in Rome, are institutions established and maintained in Rome for the education of future ecclesiastics of the Catholic Church. Albert LeGatt is the Roman Catholic Archbishop of St. Boniface in the Province of Manitoba, Canada. He was appointed Archbishop by Pope Benedict XVI on July 3, 2009, and received the Pallium on June 29, 2010. He was born on May 6, 1953, in Melfort, Saskatchewan, to Joseph and Emma LeGatt. Legatt studied at St. Boniface College (University of Manitoba), graduating in 1974 with his B.A. in Philosophy and French. Following graduation he served as a CUSO (Canadian University Services Overseas) volunteer in Ghana teaching French in a secondary school. In 1977 he entered Le Grand Séminaire de Québec, and was ordained to the priesthood for the Diocese of Prince Albert on June 19, 1983, by Bishop Blaise Morand.
