Éamonn Dillon
Éamonn Dillon (born 1992) is an Irish hurler who plays for Dublin Senior Championship club Naomh Fionnbarra and formerly at intercounty level with the Dublin senior hurling team. He usually lines out as a forward. Career A member of the Naomh Fionnbarra club in Cabra, Dillon first came to prominence on the inter-county scene as goalkeeper on the Dublin minor team in 2010. He later switched to the forwards with the Dublin under-21 team, winning a Leinster Under-21 Championship title in 2011. He joined the Dublin senior hurling team in 2012 and won a Leinster Championship title the following year. He was injured for Dublin's 2021 All-Ireland SHC campaign. Cabra, Dublin
Cabra () is an inner suburb on the northside of Dublin city in Ireland. It is approximately northwest of the city centre, in the administrative area of Dublin City Council. It was commonly known as Cabragh until the early 20th century. Largely located between the Royal Canal and the Phoenix Park, it is primarily a residential suburb, with a range of institutions and some light industry. Naomh Fionnbarra GAA is a Gaelic Athletic Association club in based in Cabra, in the north city area of Dublin. The club has adult football, hurling and camogie teams. The Naomh Fionnbarra Hurling Football Comogie club was founded in 1945. The club has been synonymous with Gaelic Games and Irish culture for 65 years in the Cabra Area. The club was set up to promote and develop the Irish culture, language, and heritage through the medium of the GAA. The Primary founders of the club were Jack Casserly, Joe Brady, Ned Wolahan, and Bill Bracken. The men started by running Roads League for juveniles and later on, they entered the Dublin Juvenile Leagues. DIT GAA or Dublin Institute of Technology GAA was a Gaelic Athletic Association University Club in Dublin Institute of Technology County Dublin, Ireland. DIT's men's Gaelic football team compete in the Sigerson Cup and the O'Byrne Cup. DIT won its first Sigerson Cup in 2013, defeating UCC in the final by 3-08 to 0-08. Hurling ( ga, iománaíocht, ') is an outdoor team game of ancient Gaelic Irish origin, played by men. One of Ireland's native Gaelic games, it shares a number of features with Gaelic football, such as the field and goals, the number of players and much terminology. The same game played by women is called camogie ('), which shares a common Gaelic root. The Dublin Senior Hurling Championship ( ga, Craobh Sinsear Iomána Átha Cliath) is an annual hurling competition organised by the Dublin GAA, Dublin County Board of the Gaelic Athletic Association (Gaelic Athletic Association, GAA) since 1887 for the top hurling clubs in County Dublin, Ireland. The Dublin county hurling team represents Dublin in hurling and is governed by Dublin GAA, the county board of the Gaelic Athletic Association. The Leinster GAA Hurling All-Ireland Under-20 Championship known simply as the Leinster Under-20 Championship, is an annual inter-county hurling competition organised by the Leinster Council of the Gaelic Athletic Association (GAA). The 2013 All-Ireland Senior Hurling Championship was the 126th staging of the All-Ireland championship since its establishment in 1887. The draw for the 2013 fixtures took place on 4 October 2012. The championship began on 5 May 2013 and ended on 28 September 2013 with Clare winning their fourth All Ireland title after a 5–16 to 3–16 win against Cork in the replayed final.
