A Turkish name consists of an ''ad'' or an ''isim'' (given name; plural ''adlar'' and ''isimler'') and a ''soyadı'' or ''soyisim'' (surname). Turkish names exist in a "full name" format. Colchicum
''Colchicum'' ( or ) is a genus of perennial flowering plants containing around 160 species which grow from bulb-like corms. It is a member of the botanical family Colchicaceae, and is native to West Asia, Europe, parts of the Mediterranean coast, down the East African coast to South Africa and the Western Cape. ''Colchicum autumnale'', commonly known as autumn crocus, meadow saffron, or naked ladies, is a toxic autumn-blooming flowering plant that resembles the true crocuses, but is a member of the plant family Colchicaceae, unlike the true crocuses, which belong to the family Iridaceae. The name "naked ladies" is because the flowers emerge from the ground long before the leaves appear. Çiğdem Belci (born 17 June 1987) is a Turkish women's football defender currently playing in the Women's Super League for Beşiktaş in Istanbul with jersey number 5. She is a member of the Turkish national team since 2003. Early life Çiğdem Belci was born on 17 June 1987 in Mersin, southern Turkey. She has three older sisters and a younger brother, who follows her footsteps playing in a feeder club in Mersin. At the age of eight, she began playing football with boys in the neighborhood. Convinced by her daughter's interest, the father took her then to Mersin Camspor, and registered her. However, feared of her daughter's future, he wanted her leave the club. Çiğdem Dede (born February 27, 1980, in Gaziantep, Turkey) is a Turkish powerlifter competing in the −44 kg division. She won the silver medal at the 2012 Paralympics. She is a dwarf athlete of Ankara Guven Spor, where she is coached by Mustafa Doğan. She became paralyzed at the age of six due to wrong injection given to her leg. Çiğdem Kağıtçıbaşı (29 January 1940 – 2 March 2017) was a Turkish scientist and professor. She was a university professor since 1969 and received the APA Award for Distinguished Contributions to the International Advancement of Psychology in 1993. Early life and education Çiğdem Kağıtçıbaşı was born in Bursa, Turkey on 29 January 1940. In 1959, she completed high school at American College for Girls in Istanbul before moving to the United States for her post-secondary studies. In the US, Kağıtçıbaşı completed a bachelor's degree at Wellesley College in 1961 and a Doctor of Philosophy at the University of California, Berkeley in 1967 specializing in social psychology. Çiğdem Özyaman (born 1985 in Düzce, Turkey) is a Turkish sport shooter competing in the skeet event. The tall athlete at is right-handed. She began sport shooting at the age of 14 with her father's encouragement. She serves as a teacher of physical education in a primary school at Bolu after her graduation from Selçuk University.
