Çiğdem Belci
Çiğdem Belci (born 17 June 1987) is a Turkish women's football defender currently playing in the Women's Super League for Beşiktaş in Istanbul with jersey number 5. She is a member of the Turkish national team since 2003. Early life Çiğdem Belci was born on 17 June 1987 in Mersin, southern Turkey. She has three older sisters and a younger brother, who follows her footsteps playing in a feeder club in Mersin. At the age of eight, she began playing football with boys in the neighborhood. Convinced by her daughter's interest, the father took her then to Mersin Camspor, and registered her. However, feared of her daughter's future, he wanted her leave the club. Her mother supported Çiğdem, and was able to stop the father's pressure. Her father changed his mind when she transferred to successful clubs and continued with her higher education. Çiğdem Kağıtçıbaşı
Çiğdem Kağıtçıbaşı (29 January 1940 – 2 March 2017) was a Turkish scientist and professor. She was a university professor since 1969 and received the APA Award for Distinguished Contributions to the International Advancement of Psychology in 1993. Early life and education Çiğdem Kağıtçıbaşı was born in Bursa, Turkey on 29 January 1940. In 1959, she completed high school at American College for Girls in Istanbul before moving to the United States for her post-secondary studies. In the US, Kağıtçıbaşı completed a bachelor's degree at Wellesley College in 1961 and a Doctor of Philosophy at the University of California, Berkeley in 1967 specializing in social psychology. Career Kağıtçıbaşı began teaching at the Middle East Technical University in 1969 before moving on to Boğaziçi University in 1974. Çiğdem Talu
Çiğdem Talu (October 31, 1939 – May 28, 1983) was a Turkish pop music lyricist. The writer Ercüment Ekrem Talu was her grandfather. Çiğdem wrote her first song "''Ağlıyorum Yine''", which was sung by Nilüfer and released on her single, "''Kalbim Bir Pusula''". The great success of this song led her to write songs for many other singers, among them for Yeliz and Füsun Önal. Turkey participated at the Eurovision Song Contest 1975 held in Stockholm, Sweden for the first time, and three songs written by Talu were in the qualification in Ankara. That year, she met composer Melih Kibar and they started to make music together. Their first song, "''İşte Öyle Bir Şey''" sung by Erol Evgin was a great hit. Çiğdem Özyaman
Çiğdem Özyaman (born 1985 in Düzce, Turkey) is a Turkish sport shooter competing in the skeet event. The tall athlete at is right-handed. She began sport shooting at the age of 14 with her father's encouragement. She serves as a teacher of physical education in a primary school at Bolu after her graduation from Selçuk University. Çiğdem Özyaman qualified to participate in the skeet event at the 2012 Summer Olympics with her gold medal achieved at the 2011 European Shooting Championships held in Belgrade, Serbia. Çiğdem Dede (born February 27, 1980, in Gaziantep, Turkey) is a Turkish powerlifter competing in the −44 kg division. She won the silver medal at the 2012 Paralympics. She is a dwarf athlete of Ankara Guven Spor, where she is coached by Mustafa Doğan. She became paralyzed at the age of six due to wrong injection given to her leg.
