Aby Lagoon
The Aby Lagoon complex is the second largest lagoon in Ivory Coast, after Ébrié Lagoon. As a whole, the lagoon has an area of , a mean depth of , and a volume of . It drains into the Atlantic Ocean through shallow channels between the Ehotilé Islands that converge at Assinie-Mafia, where Assoindé Lagoon also connects from the west. Assoindé Lagoon connects the Aby Lagoon complex to Ébrié Lagoon through the Assinie Canal. The Aby Lagoon complex comprises three named sections: from west to east, they are the Aby Lagoon proper, Tendo Lagoon, and Ehy Lagoon. Covering , the main Aby Lagoon is the largest of the three sections, extending north from the mouth of the complex and having a maximum width of and a mean depth of . Aby Lowland
The Aby Lowland (russian: Абыйская низменность; sah, Абый Намтала, translit=Abıy Namtala) is a low alluvial plain located in the Sakha Republic, Far Eastern Federal District, Russia. Administratively most of the territory of the lowland is part of Aby District ''(Aby Ulus)''. Geography The lowland is crossed by the Indigirka River in its middle course. Besides many smaller rivers and streams, three large left hand tributaries of the great river flow into it, the Selennyakh, Uyandina (with the Khatyngnakh) and Druzhina rivers. The Badyarikha limits the area in the east. The area is flat and mostly marshy, the average height of the plain being between and above sea level. Aby ( ) is a village in the East Lindsey district of Lincolnshire, England. It is approximately east from the city and county town of Lincoln and south-east from Louth. Aby is part of the civil parish of Aby with Greenfield . History The village's name is of Old Norse origin, and means "village on a river" (Old Norse ''á'', river, and ''býr'', village). Abyssinian Cat
The Abyssinian is a breed of domestic short-haired cat with a distinctive "ticked" tabby coat, in which individual hairs are banded with different colors. They are also known simply as Abys. The source of the name is not because Ethiopia, formerly Abyssinia, is thought to be the original home of these cats, but because the first "Abyssinians" exhibited in shows in England were reported to have been imported to England from there.
