Marテュa de los テ]geles Caso Machicado (born 16 July 1959 in Gijテウn) is a Spanish journalist, translator and writer. She is a recipient of the Premio Planeta de Novela. Her father, Josテゥ Miguel Caso Gonzテ。lez, was a professor and vice-chancellor at the Faculty of Philology of the University of Oviedo. She studied History and Geography, but she worked later as a journalist in ''Panorama regional''. Gijテウn () or () is a city and municipality in north-western Spain. It is the largest city and municipality by population in the autonomous community of Asturias. Giuseppe Verdi
Giuseppe Fortunino Francesco Verdi (; 9 or 10 October 1813 窶 27 January 1901) was an Italian composer best known for his operas. He was born near Busseto to a provincial family of moderate means, receiving a musical education with the help of a local patron. Verdi came to dominate the Italian opera scene after the era of Gioachino Rossini, Gaetano Donizetti, and Vincenzo Bellini, whose works significantly influenced him. In his early operas, Verdi demonstrated a sympathy with the Risorgimento movement which sought the unification of Italy. He also participated briefly as an elected politician. The chorus "Va, pensiero" from his early opera ''Nabucco'' (1842), and similar choruses in later operas, were much in the spirit of the unification movement, and the composer himself became esteemed as a representative of these ideals. The Fernando Lara Novel Award ( es, Premio Fernando Lara de Novela, links=no) is given annually in Spain by the Josテゥ Manuel Lara Foundation and the Planeta publishing house to an unpublished novel in the Spanish language. The publication of the finalist (runner-up) work is not expected, although it is sometimes published by Planeta itself (as in the case of ''The Shadow of the Wind'' by Carlos Ruiz Zafテウn, finalist in 2000).
