ﾃ］gel Rozas (born 22 March 1950) is a retired Argentine politician. A member of the Radical Civic Union (UCR), Rozas was Governor of Chaco Province from 1995 to 2003, and served as a National Senator for Chaco from 2013 to 2019. Rozas was born in General Pinedo, Chaco, to a smallholding family. He earned a law degree at the Universidad Nacional del Litoral. Rozas first held elected office in 1983 as a Chaco Provincial Deputy, serving for three terms. He was a candidate to be vice-governor in 1987. Rozas served as governor of Chaco Province from December 1995 to December 2003, re-elected in 1999. In 1999 he was also elected vice-president of the national committee of the UCR and in 2001 was elected president, serving until 2005 when he was replaced by Roberto Iglesias. He was elected to the Argentine Chamber of Deputies for Chaco in 2005. The Honorable Senate of the Argentine Nation ( es, Honorable Senado de la Naciﾃｳn Argentina) is the upper house of the National Congress of Argentina. Overview The National Senate was established by the Argentine Confederation on July 29, 1854, pursuant to Articles 46 to 54 of the 1853 Constitution. There are 72 members: three for each province and three for the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires. The number of senators per province was raised from two to three following the 1994 amendment of the Argentine Constitution as well as the addition of the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires' senators. Those changes took effect following the May 14, 1995, general elections. Jorge Milton Capitanich (born November 28, 1964) is an Argentine politician, businessman, and accountant who became Governor of Chaco Province in 2019, having held the position before from 2007 to 2013 and then from February to December 2015. A member of the Justicialist Party, he previously served as Chief of the Cabinet of Ministers from 2013 until 2015, serving under President Cristina Fernﾃ｡ndez de Kirchner, as ''intendente'' (mayor) of Chaco's capital city, Resistencia, and as National Senator, representing Chaco as well. Since 2007 he has also been president of the Sarmiento Athletic Club. Luis Carlos Petcoff Naidenoff (born 13 July 1967) is an Argentine lawyer and politician. He is National Senator and is the leader of the opposition political coalition Juntos por el Cambio in the Senate. Born in rural El Colorado, Petcoff Naidenoff studied in El Colorado and Corrientes, and graduated as a lawyer at the Universidad Nacional del Nordeste (UNNE). He worked as a lawyer in Formosa. 2015 Argentine General Election
General elections were held in Argentina on 25 October 2015 to elect the President and National Congress, and followed primary elections which were held on 9 August 2015. A second round of voting between the two leading candidates took place on 22 November, after surprisingly close results forced a runoff. On the first runoff voting ever held for an Argentine Presidential Election, Buenos Aires Mayor Mauricio Macri narrowly defeated Front for Victory candidate and Buenos Aires Province Governor Daniel Scioli with 51.34% of votes.
