ﾃ］gel Rodrﾃｭguez Campillo (born 20 May 1985 in Elche, Province of Alicante, Spain) is a professional Grand Prix motorcycle road racer. He raced in the 125cc and 250cc World championships between and . He currently competes in the RFME Superstock 1000 Championship, aboard a Kawasaki ZX-10R. Rodrﾃｭguez started racing in pocketbikes. He competed in the Spanish Championship, where he won the title in 2001 again riders like Casey Stoner, Jorge Lorenzo, Chaz Davies, Marco Simoncelli. The 2012 French motorcycle Grand Prix was the fourth round of the 2012 Grand Prix motorcycle racing season. It took place on the weekend of 18窶20 May 2012 at the Bugatti Circuit in Le Mans, France. In a press conference on the Thursday before the race, Casey Stoner announced his retirement from the sport at the end of the season. He went on to finish third in the MotoGP race, handing the championship lead to Jorge Lorenzo, the race winner. Valentino Rossi took second place for his first podium since the previous year's race. Thomas Lﾃｼthi and Louis Rossi won the Moto2 and Moto3 races respectively. This was the 800th race to contribute to the Grand Prix motorcycle racing championship. 2001 Grand Prix Motorcycle Racing Season
The 2001 Grand Prix motorcycle racing season was the 53rd F.I.M. Road Racing World Championship season. Season summary 2001 was the end of the 500 cc era in Grand Prix motorcycle racing; in 2002 the premier class would be renamed MotoGP and dominated by 4-stroke 990 cc machines. However, 2001 was the beginning of another era, that of Valentino Rossi's run of championships in the top class. His learning year past him, he won 11 races in 2001, far outdistancing his nearest competitor, Max Biaggi. Rossi and Biaggi began the season with a controversial incident at Suzuka, where Biaggi seemed to have tried to push Rossi into the dirt at 150 mph and Rossi responded two laps later with an aggressive pass and an extended middle finger. The 2000 Malaysian motorcycle Grand Prix was the second round of the 2000 Grand Prix motorcycle racing season. It took place on 2 April 2000 at the Sepang International Circuit. 500cc race report The race was won by Kenny Roberts Jr., after he had already qualified for pole position on Saturday. At the start, Kenny Roberts Jr. lost ground to the Yamaha's of Carlos Checa and Norick Abe, with Loris Capirossi also making up ground to go up into third place, with Valentino Rossi right behind in 4th place. Kenny Roberts Jr. dropped down to 11th position. After a few corners, both ﾃlex Crivillﾃｩ and Capirossi fell and retired on the opening lap. Capirossi highsighted whilst accelerating out of the corner, taking out Crivillﾃｩ in the process and almost taking out Roberts as well. The 2000 South African motorcycle Grand Prix was the first round of the 2000 Grand Prix motorcycle racing season. It took place on 19 March 2000 at Phakisa Freeway. 500cc race report This race was most notable for the shock win of WCM rider Garry McCoy. Initially, many thought that it would be 1999 500cc world champion ﾃlex Crivillﾃｩ who would win the race, mainly thanks to the pole he had obtained on Saturday. This race also marked the first ever 500cc race of Valentino Rossi. At the start of the race, Kenny Roberts Jr. on his Suzuki, overtook Crivillﾃｩ at the start to lead the opening lap, followed by the Yamaha of Carlos Checa. Crivillﾃｩ would drop down to 7th, whilst Tadayuki Okada moved up to third, closely followed by Loris Capirossi who would swap places with each other a few times on the opening lap.
