Ángel Hernández (born August 26, 1961) is a Cuban umpire in Major League Baseball (MLB). He worked in the National League from 1991 to 1999, and has worked throughout MLB since 2000. In July 2017, Hernández filed an ultimately unsuccessful federal lawsuit against MLB, alleging that racial discrimination kept him from being promoted to crew chief and from umpiring World Series games. He has not umpired in a World Series since the 2002 and 2005 championships. José Ángel Hernández (born 17 September 1975) is a Mexican professional boxer. He has held the NABA, North American Boxing Federation, NABF and International Boxing Association Americas light middleweight titles. Professional career Hernandez made his professional boxing debut at age 16 on March 29, 1996 with a first-round Knockout, KO victory over David Pearson. He won his first eight fights by knockout. Hernandez was 13-0 before being defeated by Puerto Rican boxer Wilfredo Rivera (boxer), Wilfredo Rivera. Ángel Guillermo "Memo" Heredia Hernández (born 12 February 1975) is a Mexican former discus thrower and sports coach known for his involvement and expertise in strength and conditioning for the sport of boxing. Career During his discus throwing career he was largely known as Guillermo Heredia. In his first international appearance he placed seventh in the youth section of the 1990 Central American and Caribbean Junior Championships. He repeated that placing at the 1993 Pan American Junior Athletics Championships. He won his first international medal at the 1994 Central American and Caribbean Junior Championships, securing the junior discus title and also coming eight in the shot put. Later that year he represented Mexico at the 1994 World Junior Championships in Athletics, but was eliminated in the qualifying round. Ángel García Hernández
Miguel Ángel García Hernández (29 January 1899 – 14 December 1930) was a Spanish soldier who was one of the leaders of the failed Jaca uprising which tried to overthrow the monarchy. He was executed by firing squad after a summary trial. The incident caused general public outrage. He became a hero of the Second Spanish Republic when it was established a few months later. Early years Ángel García Hernández was born in Vitoria, Álava on 29 January 1899 to a military family. He joined the army and served in the colonial war in Morocco. He became sensitized to the problems of the army that arose during the dictatorship of General Miguel Primo de Rivera. He was promoted to artillery captain and assigned to the Jaca garrison.
