Ángel Gallardo (civil Engineer)
Ángel Gallardo (19 November 1867, in Buenos Aires – 13 May 1934, in Buenos Aires) was an Argentine civil engineer, natural scientist and politician. He served variously as the president of the National Council of Education, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and the Rector of the University of Buenos Aires. He was recognised for his scientific work both in Argentina and abroad. Gallardo's scientific work dealt with problems of heredity and cell division. Early life He graduated from the Colegio Nacional de Buenos Aires in 1887 and received his degree in civil engineering from Facultad de Ciencias Exactas y Naturales (UBA) of the University of Buenos Aires in 1894. However, in addition to civil engineering, beginning in 1892 he studied natural history (biology) under Carlos Berg at the Bernardino Rivadavia Natural Sciences Museum. Ángel Gallardo (golfer)
Ángel Gallardo (born 29 July 1943) is a Spanish professional golfer. Gallardo was a member of the European Tour from its first official season in 1972 until 1982. He finished in the top one hundred of the European Tour Order of Merit in each of those eleven seasons, with a best ranking of tenth in 1977. His only official European Tour win was the 1977 Italian Open however he did win the 1967 Portuguese Open and the 1970 Spanish Open, events that would soon be enfolded into the European Tour schedule. He also won the 1971 Mexican Open. He was the second non-British golfer to be elected as Captain of the PGA of Great Britain and Ireland in 1982. Since leaving the tour, Gallardo has worked as a coach and as a golf course architect, with work that has included co-designing the PGA Golf de Catalunya, venue for the Open de España in 2009. Ángel Ballesteros Gallardo, Spanish poet and historian ( Gálvez 1940- ), lives in Talavera de la Reina, graduated with degrees in philosophy and linguistics. He is a member of the Royal Academy of Historic Sciences and Fine Arts of Toledo. Biography Gallardo was born in Gálvez, Toledo, studied Philosophy and Languages and began his research in Barcelona. In 1973 he moved to Talavera de la Reina, Spainwhere he started an important task as historic investigator. His main subject of studies is the ancient festival called "Mondas", a Spring parade originating in the Celt Iberian period 2200 a.C. in this area. He also studied about others items concerning to the city past. Ballesteros wrote in ''La Voz del Tajo'' newspaper.
