Ángel María Bautista Castro y Argiz (5 December 1875 – 21 October 1956) was a Spanish-born Cuban farmer and businessman, the father of Cuban leaders Fidel, Raúl, and Ramón Castro. He was the son of Manuel de Castro y Núñez ( Láncara, c. 1853 – Láncara, 12 June 1903) and wife (m. Láncara, 16 August 1873) Antonia Argiz y Fernández (Láncara, 1857 – Láncara, 16 November 1887). Ángel M. Castro (born November 14, 1982) is a Dominican former professional baseball pitcher. He has previously pitched for the Athletics in Major League Baseball (MLB) and the Fukuoka SoftBank Hawks of Nippon Professional Baseball. Career Detroit Tigers/Tampa Bay Rays/Philadelphia Phillies Castro attended Western Oklahoma State College in Altus, Oklahoma. The Detroit Tigers drafted Castro in the 13th round of the 2006 MLB draft. He played for the Tigers farm system from 2006 through 2008. In 2009, he was in the farm systems of the Tampa Bay Rays and Philadelphia Phillies. Ángela Melania Castro Chirivechz (born 21 February 1993) is a Bolivian race walker. She competed in the women's 20 kilometres walk event at the 2016 Summer Olympics finishing in 18th place. It was the best result ever for Bolivia in Olympic athletics. She was the flag bearer for Bolivia during both the opening ceremony and closing ceremony.
