Álvaro Santos
Álvaro Márcio Santos (; born 30 January 1980) is a Brazilian former professional footballer who played as a forward. He is the manager of Helsingborgs IF. Career Santos was born in São Paulo and began his career at Brazilian side América Mineiro from Belo Horizonte in 2000. He moved to Swedish club Helsingborgs IF for a three years stint. He made an impact immediately upon his arrival – during his first month in Europe he was instrumental in Helsingborg's elimination of Inter Milan in the 2000–01 UEFA Champions League's third qualification round. Helsingborg qualified for the Champions League group stage, where Alvaro Santos was a key player. Three years later, his goal record in Sweden's top flight Allsvenskan drew the attention of regular Danish champions FC København. Roland Nilsson
Nils Lennart Roland Nilsson (born 27 November 1963) is a Swedish professional football manager and former player. He was most recently the head coach of Allsvenskan club IFK Göteborg. As a player, Nilsson played 116 games for Sweden, making him the sixth most capped player in the Swedish national team. He also won the UEFA Cup and played in the semi-finals of the World Cup, the European Championships, and the European Cup during a playing career lasting over two decades. He won his first major honour as a manager in 2010 with Malmö FF when the team won Allsvenskan. Royal League
The Royal League was an annual Scandinavian football tournament held three times between teams from the three Scandinavian monarchies (Denmark, Sweden, and Norway), starting after the end of the regular domestic seasons of Norway and Sweden. Denmark, however, was in mid-season when the tournament started. The four best-placed teams in the football leagues of Denmark, Norway and Sweden participate in the tournament. 2011 Svenska Supercupen
Svenska Supercupen 2011, ''Swedish Super Cup 2011'', was the 5th Svenska Supercupen, an annual football match contested by the winners of the previous season's Allsvenskan and Svenska Cupen competitions. The match was played at Swedbank Stadion, Malmö, on 19 March 2011, and was contested by league winners Malmö FF and cup winners Helsingborgs IF. The match was Malmö FF's first appearance and Helsingborgs IF's second in Supercupen since its creation. Helsingborgs IF won the match 2–1 after Erik Sundin scored the winning goal in the 90th minute. Svenska Supercupen, ''Swedish Super Cup'', was a one-off fixture in Swedish football played between the Allsvenskan champions and the winners of Svenska Cupen. The fixture was played in November, after the Allsvenskan season. In the event of a club winning the double (as AIK did in 2009 and Helsingborg in 2011) the runner up of the Allsvenskan would take part. In 2011, Helsingborgs IF became the first team to have won Svenska Supercupen and not being the defending Allsvenskan champions. The winner of Svenska Supercupen received a prize money of 250,000 SEK. Svenska Cupen (, ''The Swedish Cup'') is a knockout cup competition in Swedish football and the main Swedish football cup. Svenska Cupen usually refers to the men's tournament, although a women's tournament is also held. Each year 96 teams compete, comprising the 16 teams from Allsvenskan and the 16 teams of Superettan together with 64 teams from lower tiers of the league system. The winners qualify for the qualifying stages of the UEFA Europa League. The winner is awarded Gustaf VI Adolf Cup. Compared to cups in many other countries, Svenska Cupen attracts considerably less public interest and even the cup final is rarely sold out. Consequently, the Swedish Football Association has experimented with the format in order to raise the profile of the cup. 2011 Allsvenskan
The 2011 Allsvenskan, part of the 2011 Swedish football season, was the 87th season of Allsvenskan since its establishment in 1924. The preliminary 2011 fixtures were released on 15 December 2010. The season began on 2 April 2011 and ended on 23 October 2011. Malmö FF were the defending champions, having won their 16th Swedish championship and their 19th Allsvenskan title the previous season. Helsingborgs IF won the Swedish championship this season, their 7th one, in the 27th round, nearly a month before the final round, on 25 September 2011 by Helsingborg defeating GAIS 3–1 and AIK playing a 1–1 tie against Malmö FF. Superettan
Superettan (; meaning the super first (division)) is an association football league and the second highest league in the league system of Swedish men's football. Contested by 16 clubs, it operates on a system of promotion and relegation with Allsvenskan and Division 1. Seasons run from April to October, with teams playing 30 matches each, totalling 240 matches in the season. The league was created in 2000. The second tier of Swedish football had previously consisted of a varying number of regionalized leagues operating under the Division 2 (1924–1986) and Division 1 (1987–1999) names. Marcus Allbäck
Marcus Christian Allbäck (; born 5 July 1973) is a Swedish former professional footballer who played as a striker. He was known for his sharp finishing ability and represented clubs in Sweden, Denmark, Italy, the Netherlands, England, and Germany during a career that spanned between 1992 and 2009.
