Zertifikat Deutsch
The Zertifikat Deutsch (ZD) is an internationally recognized exam of German language ability. It tests for a level of ability equivalent to level B1 in the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) scale. Candidates typically need between 300 and 600 hours of instruction in German in order to obtain the necessary fluency to pass the ''Zertifikat Deutsch'' exam. Some organizations have changed the name of this exam, for example the Goethe-Institut, which has called it ''Goethe-Zertifikat B1'' since May 2013, but others still use the original name. The ''Zertifikat Deutsch'' exam is tailored to the needs of adult students of German, regardless of whether they are inside or outside a German-speaking country. Another exam, the ''Zertifikat Deutsch für Jugendliche'' (ZD j), is tailored to adolescent students of German. Nissan ZD Engine
The Nissan ZD30 engine family is a 3.0 litres (2,953 cc) inline four cylinder diesel engine with a bore and stroke of 96 mm × 102 mm (3.78 in × 4.02 in), that replaced the Nissan QD, BD and TD engines. At Renault it also replaced the Sofim 8140 engine and is the only truck diesel engine which remained with Nissan Motors when they sold Nissan Diesel to Volvo trucks in 2007. It features a cast-iron crank case, which is horizontally divided in the crank shaft plane into a lower and an upper part. A set of gear driven balance shafts is located slightly higher than the crankshaft, the vacuum pump is placed on the gear cover and driven by the RH (intake side) balance shaft. The Gerotor oil pump is also located on the front side of the crankshaft. Zero Defects
Zero Defects (or ZD) is a collaborative programme or philosophy within an organisation, whereby everyone works together towards the ideal goal of there being no defects in quality. As a management-led program to eliminate defects in industrial production, the concept enjoyed brief popularity in American industry from 1964 to the early 1970s. Quality expert Philip Crosby later incorporated it into his "Absolutes of Quality Management" and it enjoyed a renaissance in the American automobile industry—as a performance goal more than as a program—in the 1990s. Although applicable to any type of enterprise, it has been primarily adopted within supply chains wherever large volumes of components are being purchased (common items such as nuts and bolts are good examples). Zero-defects Mentality
A zero-defects mentality (also known as Zero Error Syndrome) exists when a command-and-control structure does not tolerate mistakes. This atmosphere is now widely acknowledged to be ineffective in both military and corporate life. The results of a zero-defects mentality can include careerism, reduced motivation and stifled innovation. Soldiers or employees will feel neither empowered by their successes nor accountable for their failures. Eliminating a zero-defects mentality is one of the primary goals of ''lean manufacturing'', specifically through the application of Kaizen and Andon in the Toyota Production System.
