Women Park
Women parks are women-only amusement parks. These are sites prominent in Islamic cities. Men and boys are not allowed to enter. History The first women park was established in Helena, Montana in 1913, the first one in Iran was established in Borujerd in 2000s. By country Iran In different cities there are amusement parks where men are not allowed to enter with the aim of sex segragtion. Masoumeh Ebtekar has said that establishing these parks is a national essential. These parks are in many big and small cities in the country, such as: * Tehran (5 women parks; namely, Behesht-e-madran, Pardis-e-Banovan, Boostan-e-Narges, Shahrbanoo Complex, Reyhane park) * Shiraz * Esfahan * Mashhad * Tabriz * Nowshahr * Bandar Abbas * Rasht * Kerman * Marand Founded in 2008, Behesht-e-madran is the first women-only park of Tehran. Borujerd
Borujerd ( fa, بروجرد ''Borūjerd'') is a city and the capital of Borujerd County, Lorestan Province in western Iran. At the 2016 census, its population was 234,997 persons. Among the existing modern cities in Iran, Borujerd is one of the oldest reported at least since the 9th century. In Sassanid Empire, Borujerd was a small town and region neighboring Nahavand. Sex Segregation In Iran
Sex segregation in Iran encompasses practices derived from the conservative dogma of Shiite Islam currently taking place in Iran. Most areas of the country are segregated by sex, except universities. In many cities, there are women parks. Sex segregation prohibits males from viewing females, and age of consent laws do not exist, as all sexual activity outside marriage is illegal. After the Islamic Revolution in 1979 an emphasis on sex segregation of public places was increased. All schools are segregated by sex for students and their teachers. Beaches and pools are segregated by sex as requested by national law. Pre-marital relationships between boys and girls have been banned. Masoumeh Ebtekar
Masoumeh Ebtekar ( fa, معصومه ابتکار; born 21 September 1960) was the former Vice President of Iran for Women and Family Affairs, from August 9, 2017, to September 1, 2021. She previously headed Department of Environment from 1997 to 2005, making her the first female member in the cabinet of Iran since 1979 and the third in history. She held the same level of office from 2013 to 2017. She is a full professor at Tarbiat Modares University in the School of Medical Sciences, Immunology Department. Ebtekar was nicknamed "Mary", when she was the spokeswoman of the students who took hostages and occupied the US Embassy in 1979. Chitgar Park
Chitgar Park ( fa, پارک چیتگر) is a forest park situated in western Tehran, Iran. It covers an area of about 14.5 square kilometers, and includes ramps and facilities for cycling and skating. Chitgar Lake is located to the north of this park. Geography Chitgar Park is one of the largest parks of Tehran Province, lying within the borders of District 22 of the city of Tehran.
