Women's Football In France
Women's football in France is run by the French Football Federation. As such the national team are eligible to play in the World Cup and the European Championship, whilst clubs can enter the UEFA Women's Champions League. The earliest known women's football match involving the French was a women's French team versus the Dick, Kerr's Ladies team from Preston, played at Goodison Park, Liverpool on Boxing Day 1920, attracted a crowd of 53,000 with another 10–15,000 reportedly turned away because the ground was full. Although popular amongst girls, many experience prejudice and discrimination. The 2009–10 Division 1 Féminine was the 36th edition of the women's league since its re-establishment by the French Football Federation. The league began on 27 September 2009 and ended on 13 June 2010. Olympique Lyonnais were the defending champions. On 13 June 2010, Olympique Lyonnais successfully defended their league title winning the league by one point over Juvisy. The championship was assured following the club's 5–0 victory over Montigny-le-Bretonneux on the final match day of the season. Fémina is an Argentine folk and fusion trio from San Martín de los Andes, Argentina. Career In 2004, friends Clara Miglioli and Sofía "Toti" Trucco formed Fémina in San Martín de los Andes, Argentina. The trio's name Fémina means female in Latin. The trio chose the name because they liked its sound and message. Band member Toti elaborated "there were not too many female rappers. It was a way to represent our girl." Miglioli met the Trucco sisters when she was four years old. After completing high school, the duo moved to Buenos Aires at the age of 19. They were later joined by Toti's younger sister Clara "Wewi" Trucco on percussion. There, they met and became friends with other rappers including Koxmoz and Apolo MC. The French football league system is a series of interconnected leagues for club football in France and Monaco, and includes one Spanish side. At the top two levels of the system is the Ligue de Football Professionnel, which consists of two professional national divisions, Ligue 1 and Ligue 2. Below that are a number of leagues run by the Fédération Française de Football. At level 3 is the semi-professional Championnat National. In sports leagues, promotion and relegation is a process where teams are transferred between multiple divisions based on their performance for the completed season.
