The RBC Waterside Centre is a commercial development in the Downtown Halifax, downtown core of Halifax, Nova Scotia, Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada built by local real estate developer Armour Group. The project involves demolishing six heritage buildings and replacing them with a nine storey retail and office building, clad at ground level with the reconstructed facades of most of the former heritage buildings. Site The original six buildings occupy a downtown block facing the Halifax waterfront bounded by Upper Water Street, Duke Street, Hollis Street and the Cogswell Interchange. Waterside, East Ayrshire
Waterside is a village in East Ayrshire, Scotland, situated about five miles north of Galston on the Craufurdland Water in the Parish of Fenwick. It lies a few miles north of Moscow on the A719 and had a population of 141 in the Census of 2001. History The mill Previously known as Hareshaw Mill this old carding mill dates from 1784 and has gone through a number of uses,Close, Page 126 even hosting a bookshop at one point. The 1856 OS map records the location of the weir, sluice, and lade that diverted and carried water to the mill wheel from the Craufurdland Water. By 1910 the OS maps show that the wollen mill was no longer in use as a mill. Part of the mill became a private dwelling. Although built as a carding mill, Waterside Mill was later also used for weaving. The wheelpit of the mill still survives. Waterside is a hamlet in the parish of Chesham, in Buckinghamshire, England. It is located in the town itself. Historically the name referred to the group of dwellings next to the River Chess in Chesham. Waterside consists of a mixture of 19th-century houses following the banks of the river Chess. Waterside, Cumbria
Waverton is a linear village and civil parish in the Allerdale borough of Cumbria, England. Waverton lies on the main A596 road east of a bridge over the River Waver, 2.2 miles south west from Wigton and 14.2 miles from the nearest city, Carlisle. The river is the reason for Waverton's name as well as it coming from the old English word tuǹ, this meaning "An enclosure; a farmstead; a village; an estate". Population There were no major changes in the population of Waverton in the nineteenth century, when population first began to be collected in the Census. The population was slowly increasing each year, but only by a maximum of 30 people a year up till 1871. After 1871 the Census records show that there was a decrease in the population. This fluctuation was repeated as from 1910 there was a sharp increase, however this was followed by another population depletion just after the 1920.
