''Trilla'' is the second studio album by American rapper Rick Ross. It was released on March 11, 2008, by Slip-n-Slide Records, Def Jam South Recordings and Poe Boy Entertainment. Production was handled by The Runners, J. R. Rotem, Drumma Boy, DJ Toomp, J.U.S.T.I.C.E. League, DJ Nasty & LVM, Blac Elvis, J Rock, Mannie Fresh, Los Vegaz and Bink!. It features guest appearances from R. Kelly, T-Pain, Trey Songz, Young Jeezy, Trick Daddy, Nelly, Brisco, Triple C's, Jay-Z, Lil Wayne and Avery Storm. The album debuted at number one on the US ''Billboard'' 200, selling 198,000 copies in the first week. The album was a certified gold by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). William Leonard Roberts II (born January 28, 1976), known professionally as Rick Ross, is an American rapper. Brisco (rapper)
British Alexander Mitchell (born June 28, 1982), who performs under the stage name Brisco, is an American rapper. Early life Mitchell grew up in Miami, Florida. His mother died when he was 9, and four years later, at age 13, his brother was killed in a car accident; he then migrated to Opa-Locka, Florida. At age 14, the troubled teen's cousin introduced him to his best friend, E-Class, the founder of Poe Boy Entertainment. Music career Mitchell met Poe Boy Entertainment founder E-Class in 1997. E-Class encouraged him to express his life hardships through rap. "Here I Am" is the third single from Rick Ross's second album ''Trilla''. It features Nelly and Avery Storm. This song, produced by Drumma Boy, contains an interpolation of Stevie Wonder's " Lately". Video appearances made are DJ Khaled, Birdman, Pitbull, Dre, Felicia Pearson, Ace Hood and others. After the song ends, the video cuts to Ross's other song, "Maybach Music". Ralph Di Stasio (born December 5, 1976), better known by his stage name Avery Storm, is an American singer. Di Stasio grew up in a working-class Italian-American family in New Jersey. After high school, he moved to New York City and signed to Timbaland's record label Beat Club in 2001 as "Avery Storm" after joining an independent production company. Triple C's, also known as Carol City Cartel, is an American hip hop group founded by Rick Ross in 2005. The group takes its name from the Carol City neighborhood of Miami Gardens, and consists of Gunplay from Miami, Torch from the Bronx, New York, and Young Breed. Nasty Beatmakers are an American record production duo, composed of brothers DJ Nasty (Johnny David Mollings) and LVM (Leonardo V. Mollings). The duo produced Lil Wayne's " I'm Me", Plies's "#1 Fan", and Ludacris's "Grew Up a Screw Up". Slip-N-Slide Records is an American record label, founded in 1994 by Ted Lucas. History Ted Lucas founded the label in 1994. Slip-n-Slide signed local rapper Trick Daddy Dollars in its early years; he debuted in 1997 with the locally popular album ''Based on a True Story'' and broke into mainstream success the next year with his second album '' www.thug.com'', having dropped "Dollars" from his stage name.
