Tri-Crescendo
tri-Crescendo is a Japanese video game developer. It was founded in February 1999 by Hiroya Hatsushiba, who still runs the company. Hatsushiba, originally being a sound programmer, carried his experience into tri-Crescendo; the company was initially responsible for the sound in all games by tri-Ace starting with ''Valkyrie Profile'' until 2001 when the company co-created '' Baten Kaitos'' with Monolith Soft. tri-Crescendo then went on to make ''Eternal Sonata'' for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 and '' Fragile Dreams: Farewell Ruins of the Moon'' for the Wii. tri-Crescendo was responsible for the programming and sound design in both the first ''Baten Kaitos'' and the prequel, ''Baten Kaitos Origins ''Baten Kaitos Origins'', also known as ''Baten Kaitos 2'', is a 2006 role-playing video game developed by Monolith Soft and Tri-Crescendo for the GameCube video game console. Monolith Soft
trading as Monolith Soft, is a Japanese video game development studio originally owned by Namco (later Bandai Namco) until being bought out by Nintendo in 2007. The company was founded in 1999 by Tetsuya Takahashi with the support and cooperation of Masaya Nakamura, the founder of Namco. Their first project was the ''Xenosaga'' series, a spiritual successor to the Square-developed ''Xenogears''. Multiple Square staff would join Takahashi at Monolith Soft including Hirohide Sugiura and Yasuyuki Honne. In addition to the ''Xenosaga'' series, Monolith Soft worked on other projects including '' Baten Kaitos'' and ''Namco × Capcom'', the precursor to their later ''Project X Zone'' series, along with assisting on projects from other developers. Hiroya Hatsushiba
Hiroya Hatsushiba ( ja, 初芝 弘也, ''Hatsushiba Hiroya'') is the founder of video game developer tri-Crescendo, and a long time sound programmer for composer Motoi Sakuraba, whom he also gives English titles of the tracks Sakuraba creates. Hatsushiba came up as a sound director and programmer for the Telenet Japan subsidiary Wolfteam in 1993. It is here that he met Sakuraba; these two have worked together on various games since then. He was one of the many people that left Telenet Japan on March 6, 1995 to participate in the founding of tri-Ace. Here, he continued his sound programmer duties for Sakuraba, as well as doing some field programming. In 1999, he left tri-Ace and formed tri-Crescendo. While initially continuing to provide sound programming for tri-Ace's games, tri-Crescendo moved into game development in 2001. ''Baten Kaitos Origins'', also known as ''Baten Kaitos 2'', is a 2006 role-playing video game developed by Monolith Soft and Tri-Crescendo for the GameCube video game console. The game is a prequel to ''Baten Kaitos: Eternal Wings and the Lost Ocean''. Similar to the first entry, the player assume the role of a "guardian angel, guardian spirit" – an unseen avatar (computing), player avatar – who guides protagonist Sagi and his party of companions in an adventure across an aerial floating island-based kingdom in the clouds. The game retains the original's focus around the concept of "Magnus" – magical cards that capture the "essence" of items found in the in-game world, where the concept is still used as a plot device, for inventory management, in-game item management, and as a basis for the card-themed battle system, albeit with minor tweaks. Eternal Sonata
is a role-playing video game developed by tri-Crescendo and published by Bandai Namco Games. The Xbox 360 version of the game was released on June 14, 2007 in Japan, September 17, 2007 in North America, and October 19, 2007 in Europe. The game was also released on the PlayStation 3 with additional content as on September 18, 2008 in Japan, and in North America on October 21, 2008, and in Europe with the original name ''Eternal Sonata'' on February 13, 2009. The game is centered on the Polish romantic pianist and composer Frédéric Chopin, who died of tuberculosis at the age of 39. is an independent video game development studio. The company was founded in July 2004 by Hironobu Sakaguchi, best known for his work at Square including creating the ''Final Fantasy'' series. is a Japanese video game developer, video game development company formed in March 1995 by former Telenet Japan employees Yoshiharu Gotanda (programmer, current tri-Ace President), Masaki Norimoto (game designer) and Joe Asanuma (director). The name is a play on words regarding the "three aces" who formed the company. Most of tri-Ace's games have been video game publisher, published by Square Enix (formerly Enix). The company exclusively makes role-playing video games, and is known for giving their games' action-packed battle systems and deep skill systems.
