Irénée Thériot
Marie Hypolite Irénée Thériot (21 December 1859 – 25 March 1947), credited as Irénée Thériot was a French people, French bryologist and school teacher. He was orphaned as a child, trained as a teacher and became head of a school in Le Havre from 1888 until 1920. He married but his wife (died 1938) and son (died 1917, aged 30) pre-deceased him. He was a member of the Société Botanique de France. He was particularly interested in moss, which he studied in his spare time. He described over 1000 new species and genera. These came from many parts of the world, obtained by exchanging specimens with others. He continued to study mosses, including using a microscope, into his early 80s. Thériot's personal herbarium collection is currently housed at the Muséum national d'histoire naturelle. Jules Cardot named the genus ''Theriotia'' in honor of Thériot. Agroha Mound
Agroha, locally known as ''Ther'', is an archaeological site located in Agroha, in the Hisar district of India. Location The mounds are located about 1.5 km from the town of Agroha, 20 km from Hisar city and 190 km from New Delhi in Hisar district of Haryana, India. It lies on National Highway 9 (old NH-10). Rediscovery and excavation The excavations first started in the year 1888-89 under C.T. Rogers. It restarted in the year 1978-79 by Archaeological Department of Haryana under the supervision of J.S. Khatri and Acharya. Belief The Agrawal community believes that the archaeological findings are related to their legendary founder — the king Agrasena, whose capital is said to have been at Agroha. Agrawal organizations such as Akhil Bharatiya Agrawal Sammelan and Agroha Vikas Trust have supported archaeological research at the site. ''Ther Thiruvizha'' (; ) is a 1968 Indian Tamil-language drama film, directed by M. A. Thirumugam. The film stars M. G. Ramachandran and Jayalalithaa. It was released on 23 February 1968. Plot By means of his Indian coracle, Saravanan, a big-hearted boatman assures small connections and makes his living in this way. His younger sister Sivagami in fact so much.
