The Story Changes
The Story Changes is an American two piece punk/indie rock band based out of Dayton, Ohio, United States. Featuring Mark McMillon guitarist of the multi-platinum selling artist Hawthorne Heights and as of the past year, Christopher "Poppy" Lee has been the touring drummer with Hawthorne Heights too. History Beginning The Story Changes was formed in 2004, and is the vision of vocalist and guitarist Mark McMillon. Through most of the 1990s and into the new millennium, the Dayton, Ohio-based McMillon was the sole constant member of a long-running act called Rod who toured with the likes of Hey Mercedes, The Stereo, Motion City Soundtrack, and more. When that band's final lineup split up not long after the release of their final album, ''The Story Changes Everyday'', McMillon retired the name and chose to regroup under an amended version of the album's title. Dayton () is the sixth-largest city in the U.S. state of Ohio and the county seat of Montgomery County. A small part of the city extends into Greene County. Indie Rock
Indie rock is a subgenre of rock music that originated in the United States, United Kingdom and New Zealand from the 1970s to the 1980s. Originally used to describe independent record labels, the term became associated with the music they produced and was initially used interchangeably with alternative rock or " guitar pop rock". One of the primary scenes of the movement was Dunedin, where a cultural scene based around a convergence of noise pop and jangle became popular among the city's large student population. Independent labels such as Flying Nun began to promote the scene across New Zealand, inspiring key college rock bands in the United States such as Pavement, Pixies and R.E.M. Other notable scenes grew in Manchester and Hamburg, with many others thriving thereafter. Hawthorne Heights
Hawthorne Heights, formerly A Day in the Life, is an American rock band from Dayton, Ohio, formed in 2001. Their lineup currently consists of JT Woodruff (lead vocals, rhythm guitar), Matt Ridenour (bass guitar, backing vocals), Mark McMillon (lead guitar, unclean backing vocals), and Chris Popadak (drums, percussion). On November 24, 2007, rhythm guitarist and unclean backing vocalist Casey Calvert died, leaving the band as a four-piece. In June 2014 it was announced the departure of original drummer Eron Bucciarelli. On January 20, 2015, it was announced that Micah Carli (lead guitar, unclean backing vocals) had left the band as well. Hey Mercedes was an alternative rock band from Milwaukee, Wisconsin and Chicago, Illinois, United States, formed after the dissolution of Braid by its former members Bob Nanna, Todd Bell, and Damon Atkinson. The Stereo
The Stereo is a pop-rock and roll band started in early 1999 by former ska-punk band frontmen Jamie Woolford (of Animal Chin) and Rory Phillips (of The Impossibles). The pair were initially brought together on recommendation of their record label Fueled By Ramen. The duo released their debut album ''Three Hundred'' in summer 1999. Over their recording and touring history, the band endured a number of line-up changes. Singer-songwriter Woolford was always affiliated with the group and composed all selections on subsequent releases. The group disbanded in early 2004 with Woolford and bassist Chris Serafini reconvening to form the band Let Go. Motion City Soundtrack is an American rock band that formed in Minneapolis, Minnesota in 1997. The band's line-up consists of vocalist and guitarist Justin Courtney Pierre, lead guitarist Joshua Cain, keyboardist Jesse Johnson, bassist Matthew Taylor, and drummer Tony Thaxton. Over the course of their career, the group has toured heavily and released six studio albums, the majority on independent label Epitaph Records. The band's sound, at times described as pop punk or emo, makes notable use of the Moog synthesizer. Let Go is a rock band from Tempe, Arizona, formed in late 2004. They are currently signed to southern California record label The Militia Group. History Let Go was formed in late 2004 by The Stereo's Jamie Woolford and Chris Serafini. After the break-up of The Stereo, Woolford began working on solo material, and Serafini joined the band Gloritone, where he met drummer Scott Hessel, who would later be asked to join Let Go. According to Woolford, he asked Serafini and Hessel to form the band when he wanted to fill out his new material. Serafini counters that after bonding with Hessel in Gloritone, his desire to start a new band was whetted, and the pair recruited Woolford. Regardless of their origin, the trio produced the self-titled ''Let Go'' album over a month's time in Woolford's home studio, releasing it on The Militia Group in October 2005. eMC is a hip hop crew composed of rappers Masta Ace, Wordsworth and Stricklin. Punchline was also a member, but he left the group in October, 2014. Biography Though not officially formed as a group until 2005, the crew came together in 2001 while touring together on Masta Ace's ''Disposable Arts'' tour.
