The Hush Sound
The Hush Sound is an American indie pop band from Chicago, Illinois, United States. Initially named "The Hush," the band later changed its name to "The Hush Sound" due to the discovery of a rapper with the same name. The band consists of Bob Morris (vocals and guitar), Chris Faller (bass guitar and vocals), Darren Wilson (drums, percussion and vocals), and Greta Salpeter (vocals and piano). Mike Leblanc (bass guitar) temporarily replaced Faller after he left the band for a few months in 2008 . In 2005, the band released their first studio album, ''So Sudden,'' independently, which was later rereleased through Decaydance Records and Fueled by Ramen. Their second studio album, ''Like Vines'', was released in 2006 under the independent record label, Fueled by Ramen. Greta Salpeter
Greta Morgan Salpeter (born February 12, 1988), better known as Greta Morgan, is an American singer-songwriter and musician based in Los Angeles, CA. Her career began in 2005 as singer/pianist of the Chicago-based band The Hush Sound. She later formed the band Gold Motel, whose debut album was released on June 1, 2010. Since 2014, she performs under the name Springtime Carnivore and has released two albums. Music career Morgan began learning piano at a young age, studying classical music. She first met Bob Morris, guitarist/vocalist in 2001. The two started playing together and created The Hush Sound, later recruiting Chris Faller on bass and Darren Wilson on drums. She was 16 when she began touring with The Hush Sound. In 2009, Morgan began recording material with the band Gold Motel. ''Like Vines'' is the second studio album by the Hush Sound. The name of the album comes from a line in "We Intertwined". ''Like Vines'' has sold over 50,000 copies in the United States, according to Nielsen Soundscan. It was released on Fall Out Boy's Pete Wentz's Decaydance Records independent record label along with Fueled By Ramen. Piano

Indie Pop
Indie pop (also typeset as indie-pop or indiepop) is a music genre and subculture that combines guitar pop with DIY ethic in opposition to the style and tone of mainstream pop music. It originated from British post-punk in the late 1970s and subsequently generated a thriving fanzine, Independent record label, label, and club and gig circuit.
