The Feldons
The Feldons is an Australian three-piece britpop/powerpop band based in Canberra, Australia. It came together in 2006 and consists of Mark Hunstone on guitar and vocals, James Montgomery on bass and vocals, and Adam Bowler on drums and vocals. History Joe Pryor played drums for the band from 2006-08. Upon Pryor's move to New York in 2008, Nick Giles became the drummer. Keyboard player Pete Thomas joined the band between mid-2010 and mid-2011. Drummer Nick Giles left in late 2014 and was replaced by Adam Bowler, who had previously played for Positive Feedback Loop. They have been described as "something very Ferry on the Mersey", or Beatlesque. "Mention of Paul Weller (does) not quite nail the sound but there is an undertone of that British invasion rock and roll that was big in the sixties" and "entertaining, danceable, listenable as well as easy on the eye". The Marji Curran Band, once known as The Adam Hole and Marji Curran Band, are an independent Canberra based blues/ roots band consisting of Marji Curran on guitar/ vocals, Dave Williams on slide guitar/ vocals, Peter Bucke on bass and Dyland Harding on drums. Previously Adam Hole played guitar with Will Pippin and Phoebe Juskevics on drums/ percussion. JG Montgomery is an Australian/ English author. He was born in Redruth, Cornwall, England and lives in Canberra, Australia. He is the son of a Royal Australian Air Force officer and defence attaché. He is known for his writing on the supernatural and paranormal. Personal life He is the older brother of renowned Australian/ English based conductor Jessica Cottis. Jessica Cottis (born 13 December 1979, Sale, Victoria, Australia) is an Australian-British conductor. She is currently artistic director and chief conductor of the Canberra Symphony Orchestra. Barbara Feldon (born Barbara Anne Hall; March 12, 1933) is an American actress primarily known for her roles on television. Her most prominent role was that of Agent 99 in the 1965–1970 sitcom ''Get Smart''. Early life Feldon was born Barbara Anne Hall in Butler, Pennsylvania, part of the Pittsburgh metropolitan area. ''Get Smart'' is an American comedy television series parodying the secret agent genre that had become widely popular in the first half of the 1960s, with the release of the ''James Bond'' films. It was created by Mel Brooks and Buck Henry, and had its television premiere on NBC on September 18, 1965. It stars Don Adams (who was also a director on the series) as agent Maxwell Smart (Agent 86), Barbara Feldon as Agent 99, and Edward Platt as The Chief. Slow Turismo are an Australian indie pop band from Canberra, which were formed in 2015. The three Conway brothers: Sam (vocals, guitar), Max (vocals, guitar) and Riley (drums), were all previously members of an indie and alternative rock quartet, Rubycon, with Reuben Styles (later of Peking Duk). Slow Turismo released their debut extended play in July 2015 and have followed with singles. The group have toured Australia. James Southwell (born 1 July 1988) is an Australian guitar player, singer, songwriter. In addition to his releases, he has toured Australia and New Zealand extensively from 2006 playing in excess of 2000 shows, including many festival appearances. Lime Spiders were an Australian punk rock band which formed in 1979 with Mick Blood on lead vocals. He was later joined by Tony Bambach on bass guitar, Gerard Corben on guitar, Richard Lawson on drums, and David Sparks on guitar. Their debut studio album, ''The Cave Comes Alive!'' was released in June 1987 and reached the top 60 on the Kent Music Report Albums Chart. The Saints (Australian Band)
The Saints were an Australian rock band, originating in Brisbane, Queensland in 1973. The band was founded by Chris Bailey (singer-songwriter, later guitarist), Ivor Hay (drummer), and Ed Kuepper (guitarist-songwriter). They were initially labeled a punk band because, like American punk rock band the Ramones, the Saints were employing the fast tempos, raucous vocals and "buzzsaw" guitar that characterised early punk rock – although this only reflects a portion of their overall sound. With their debut single " (I'm) Stranded" in September 1976, they became the first punk band outside the US to release a record, ahead of better-known acts the Damned, the Sex Pistols and the Clash.
