The Blood Arm are an American five-piece rock band from Los Angeles, California, currently residing in Berlin, Germany. At present, they have released five albums. Their music has been likened to "James Brown fronting Talking Heads and singing Fall songs" by the ''NME'' and they are renowned for their extremely energetic live performances. The Blood Arm's music has been featured in the television programs ''Gossip Girl'', ''The OC'', ''Nip/Tuck'', ''Chuck'', '' Ravenswood'' and the US version of '' Shameless'', as well as the hit movie ''Cloverfield'' and the 2006 documentary ''Radiant City''. Franz Ferdinand are a Scottish rock band formed in Glasgow in 2002. The band's original line-up was composed of Alex Kapranos (lead vocals, guitar), Nick McCarthy (guitar, keyboards, backing vocals), Bob Hardy (bass guitar, backing vocals), and Paul Thomson (drums, percussion, backing vocals). ''Turn and Face Me'' is the third studio album by Los Angeles band the Blood Arm, released worldwide on July 4, 2011, almost five years after their previous album '' Lie Lover Lie''. Recorded in Burbank, California, it was produced by David Newton, from the popular late '80s band the Mighty Lemon Drops. Release and reception ''Turn and Face Me'' received generally positive reviews. Taratata
''Taratata'' is a French television music show showcasing live and pre-recorded footage of current acts. Presented by Nagui since its début in 1993, the show was initially shown on France 2. The show often involved surprise and unlikely duets, as well as brief interviews with the artists. ''Taratata'' was cancelled in 2000, but returned in April 2005 on the public French network France 4 once a week on prime time, France 3, and late night once a month on France 2 and radio station Virgin Radio. Artists including Devendra Banhart, Katie Melua and Ayo made their French TV debuts on the show. Anaïs, full name Anaïs Croze (born August 20, 1976), is a French singer. Her first album, called ''The Cheap Show'', was recorded live in January 2004 and released in 2005. ''The Cheap Show'', a pun on "peep-show", is titled such as she is the only musician on stage and makes extensive use of her JamMan pedal. British newspaper The Guardian awarded the album full marks, describing it as "an alternative dancefloor gem". South by Southwest, abbreviated as SXSW and colloquially referred to as South By, is an annual conglomeration of parallel film, interactive media, and music festivals and Convention (meeting), conferences organized jointly that take place in mid-March in Austin, Texas, United States.
