The Blackout Pact
The Blackout Pact is a post-hardcore band from Denver, Colorado. They formed in the early summer of 2003. The band is influenced by Hot Water Music, Small Brown Bike, Alkaline Trio, The Lawrence Arms, and Murder City Devils. History In October 2004, Geoff Rickly signed The Blackout Pact to the indie label Astro Magnetics. Rickly also produced their first CD ''Hello Sailor''. They went on to tour with such bands as Fight Paris, Drowningman, The Lawrence Arms, The Fall of Troy, Folly, The Draft, Rise Against, The Number 12 Looks Like You, Yellowcard, Heavy Heavy Low Low, Silverstein, Mae and more. In 2005 they released a video to the song "We Drink So You Don't Have to." December 2008, as reported newly on their Myspace site, The Blackout Pact have decided to come back from the hiatus and start recording again. Now with a new label: Eyeball Records. Drowningman is an American hardcore punk band from Burlington, Vermont, which was active from 1995 to 2005. Formed in the fall of 1995 by Simon Brody, Denny Donovan, Javin Leonard, Dave Barnett and Todd Tomlinson, the band was heavily influenced by a variety of bands including Deadguy, Unbroken, Shotmaker, Unwound, Sunny Day Real Estate and Promise Ring. Vincent "Vinnie" Fiorello (born June 24, 1974) is an American rock musician and businessman. He co-founded the ska punk band Less Than Jake in 1992, and was the band's drummer and lyricist until 2018. He also founded the record labels Fueled by Ramen, Sleep It Off Records, and Paper + Plastick, in addition to several local businesses in Gainesville, Florida. Biography Fiorello was born on June 24, 1974 in Rahway, New Jersey. He grew up in New Jersey but moved to Gainesville, Florida at age 16. Vinnie Fiorello and Chris DeMakes founded the band Less Than Jake while attending the University of Florida in 1992. The Gaslight Anthem is an American Rock music, rock band from New Brunswick, New Jersey, formed in 2006. Silverstein () is a Canadian Rock music, rock band from Burlington, Ontario, formed in 2000. Their band name is a reference to the famous children's author Shel Silverstein, whom the band had admired and whose work they had read as children. Heavy Heavy Low Low is an American mathcore band from San Jose, California. Biography Formed in early 2004 in San Jose, California, they played shows throughout the West Coast and developed a significant following, becoming known in the early 2000s screamo scene for their energetic stage presence. They released their first EP ''Kids Kids Kids'' in 2004. The EP was recorded in a practice space in San Jose by Andy Kugler. Yellowcard is an American Rock music, rock band that formed in Jacksonville, Florida, in 1997 and was based in Los Angeles beginning in 2000. The band is recognized for having a distinct sound in their genre, primarily due to the prominent use of a violin in their songs, and are best known for their singles "Ocean Avenue (song), Ocean Avenue", "Only One (Yellowcard song), Only One", and "Lights and Sounds (song), Lights and Sounds". The Number Twelve Looks Like You is an American mathcore band, formed in Bergen County, New Jersey, United States, in 2002. The band went on a six-year hiatus in 2010. In May 2016, they performed a secret show and then announced their reunion. History Formation and Brutal Records years (2002–2004) In early 2002, Jesse Korman, Chree Conger and Justin Pedrick met through mutual acquaintances and recruited Jamie McIlroy and Alexis Pareja which formed the bass-free outfit And Ever. The band was reportedly formed by "accident" where Pedrick was originally the only vocalist and Korman played drums. The Draft are a band featuring Hot Water Music members Jason Black, George Rebelo and Chris Wollard. The band also features guitarist Todd Rockhill of Black Cougar Shock Unit, Discount and a host of other Gainesville, Florida based acts. The Draft formed soon after the departure of singer/guitarist Chuck Ragan from Hot Water Music. The three remaining members of the band wanted to continue making music together, but decided not to continue under the Hot Water Music name, choosing instead to start fresh. Folly is an American band from Sussex, New Jersey, Sussex, New Jersey, United States. Their music is a mix of hardcore punk, hardcore, Heavy metal music, metal, Punk rock, punk and ska. The band's final lineup included Arben Colaku on bass, Geoff Towle on guitar, Anthony Wille on drums, Agim Colaku on guitar, and Jon Tummillo on vocals.
