"Sudden Death" is a song by American heavy metal band Megadeth. It was written by Dave Mustaine for inclusion in the 2010 music video game '' Guitar Hero: Warriors of Rock'', which was released on September 28, 2010, in North America. The song itself was released as a single with cover art on iTunes on September 24, 2010, and on September 28, Roadrunner Records made the song available for streaming on its website. It is Megadeth's first release with bassist Dave Ellefson since 2002, following his return to the band in 2010. The song was well received by critics and was described as one of the hardest songs in the ''Guitar Hero'' franchise. Sudden Death Records is a Vancouver, British Columbia based record label run by Joe "Shithead" Keithley, frontman of D.O.A. Sudden Death Records arrived in Canada's burgeoning punk scene in 1978. Keithley formed the label to release his D.O.A.'s album Disco Sucks. It was only a part-time label until 1998, when they began to expand further into punk rock music. In keeping with the "Do It Yourself" attitude of its founder Joe Keithley, Sudden Death Records remained a friend to smaller musicians while keeping multi-national record conglomerates at bay. In doing so, they have earned themselves the respect of numerous luminaries within the music industry. Daniel James "Danny" Howland (born June 29, 1993), better known by his alias Svdden Death, is a Los Angeles-based DJ and producer from San Jose, California. He is known for his song "Sell Out", a collaboration with American multi-platinum artist Marshmello that peaked on ''Billboard's'' Hot Dance/Electronic Songs at the No. 36 position in early 2019.
