Solar Power In Taiwan
Taiwan government plans to build 6.5 GW solar power stations before 2020 and a total of 20 GW by 2025. Relative research indicated that there are strong solar energy potential in all country. Some research further pointed out that Taipei City as the area with the weakest solar irradiance, the solar energy potential on the rooftop is still benefitial and can compete the energy consumption in certain circumstances. Here is a table showing the growth of solar power capacity and generation in Taiwan since 2000.
