Siege Of Marinka
The battle of Marinka is an ongoing battle taking place in the city of Marinka between the Armed Forces of Russia and the separatist Donetsk People's Republic against the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Shelling of the town intensified between February 17 and February 22, when Russia recognized the DPR as independent, and fighting began in the town on March 17. In June 2015, Marinka had been the site of a one-day battle near Marinka, the first serious conflict after the February signing of Minsk II, in which Ukrainian forces held back a DPR attack. The battle of Marinka was a short battle in the War in Donbas in and around Marinka, Donetsk Oblast which took place on 3 June 2015. The Ukrainian 28th Guards Mechanised Brigade, 30th Mechanised Brigade, 43rd Artillery Brigade and 93rd Mechanised Brigade fought the self-proclaimed Donetsk People's Republic's (DPR) Republican Guard and Pyatnashka Brigade under .
