Subterfuge (video Game)
''Subterfuge'' is a real-time strategy video game developed by Ron Carmel and Noel Llopis. It was loosely based on the strategic board game ''Diplomacy''. The game took place in an underwater world where players used diplomacy and tactics to defeat their opponents. It featured minimalist art, except for the specialist portraits, which were drawn by Shane Nakamura. Gameplay ''Subterfuge'' took place in real time to allow for diplomacy; an average game lasted for about a week but could be longer or shorter. Despite taking a week to play, the developers claimed the game was still "short". A game supported anywhere from 2 to 10 players. Diplomacy was highly encouraged in ''Subterfuge'', and players only communicated via in-game messages. This allowed for the negotiation of strategy Strategy (from Greek στρατηγία ''stratēgia'', "art of troop leader; office of general, command, generalship") is a general plan to achieve one or more long-term or overall goals under condi ...

Deception
Deception or falsehood is an act or statement that misleads, hides the truth, or promotes a belief, concept, or idea that is not true. It is often done for personal gain or advantage. Deception can involve dissimulation, propaganda and sleight of hand as well as distraction, camouflage or concealment. There is also self-deception, as in bad faith. It can also be called, with varying subjective implications, beguilement, deceit, bluff, mystification, ruse, or subterfuge. Deception is a major relational transgression that often leads to feelings of betrayal and distrust between relational partners. Deception violates relational rules and is considered to be a negative violation of expectations. Most people expect friends, relational partners, and even strangers to be truthful most of the time. If people expected most conversations to be untruthful, talking and communicating with others would require distraction and misdirection to acquire reliable information. A significant amount ...

The Hidden Land
''The Hidden Land'' is the eighth studio album and twelfth album overall released by Béla Fleck and the Flecktones, released in 2006. It was recorded before the band's year-long hiatus during 2005 and released afterward. ''The Hidden Land'' won the 2007 Grammy Award for Best Contemporary Jazz Album. Reception In his Allmusic review, music critic Thom Jurek was lukewarm about the album, writing, "It's not that complexity and a multiplicity of ideas is a bad thing; quite the opposite, but knowing when to and make the music sing is another thing. This record sings only in a couple of places. The rest is 'serious Flecktones.' Perhaps this determination is simply not for most of us. It's easy to accept that, especially when those serious Flecktones fans will be debating individual musical passages until the next album is released." Devin Grant of '' No Depression'' wrote: "Fleck keeps things centered, wielding his banjo in directions the instrument wasn’t originally envisioned to ...

Demolition (Judas Priest Album)
''Demolition'' is the fourteenth studio album by English heavy metal band Judas Priest, and the first in the decade of the 2000s. It is the second and final studio album to feature Tim "Ripper" Owens on vocals. It is also the only Judas Priest studio album to feature a Parental Advisory label on the album cover due to the songs "Machine Man", "Hell Is Home", and "Metal Messiah" containing profanity. Background and reception Following the mixed-to-positive reception to ''Jugulator'', the band scrambled to assess what exactly went wrong, and determined that fans preferred a sound more faithful to Priest's back catalog. The resulting album would be an amalgam of ''Jugulator''-style riffs, references to '80s Priest, and nu-metal additions such as samples, downtuned guitars, rapping, and industrial-style beats. While the ostensible aim was to offer something for every possible fan, in the end, the album received a much poorer reception than ''Jugulator'' by most fans—and would res ...
