Eduard Strasburger
Eduard Adolf Strasburger (1 February 1844 – 18 May 1912) was a Polish-German professor and one of the most famous botanists of the 19th century. He discovered mitosis in plants. Life Eduard Strasburger was born in Warsaw, Congress Poland, the son of Krystyna Anna (von Schütz) and Edward Bogumił Strasburger (1803–1874).Klaus Oskar Leyde: Strasburger. Paul Cline Strasburger, Baron Strasburger (born 31 July 1946) is a British Liberal Democrat politician, millionaire philanthropist and semi-retired businessman. Involvement with the Liberal Democrats Strasburger first became involved in the Liberal Democrats in his home town of Bath, Somerset in 2005. Henryk Leon Strasburger (27 May 1887 – 2 May 1951) was a Polish economist, general commissioner in the Free City of Danzig (now Gdańsk) and delegate to the League of Nations. He was also a member of the Polish government in exile during World War II. According to ''The New York Times'', he was among the earliest and most outspoken of Poles to recognise the menace of Hitler to his country. His warning was clear in his book ''The Case of Danzig'', published some months before the outbreak of war. Julius Strasburger (26 December 1871, in Jena – 28 October 1934, in Frankfurt am Main) was a German internist. He was the son of botanist Eduard Strasburger (1844–1912). He studied medicine at the universities of Bonn and Freiburg, receiving his doctorate in 1894 at Bonn with the thesis ''Die Sarcome des Dickdarms'' ("The Sarcomas of the Colon"). Following graduation, he served as an assistant to Carl Gerhardt at the second medical clinic in Berlin, and also as an assistant under Friedrich Schultze at the internal clinic in Bonn. In 1911 he became an associate professor at the University of Breslau, then in 1914 was named a full professor of internal medicine at the University of Frankfurt am Main. Scott Strasburger (born February 14, 1963) is a former American football defensive end. He played college football at the University of Nebraska. Early years Strasburger attended Holdrege High School, where he was a starter at defensive end and was named All-state as a senior. He walked-on at the University of Nebraska. As a true sophomore, he was a backup right defensive end behind All-Big Eight selection Tony Felici. He made 31 tackles and 6 sacks. His most famous play came in the eleventh game against Oklahoma University, intercepting a pass late in the fourth quarter that he returned 22 yards to the opponent's one yard in the final 30 seconds of the game, helping the team clinch a 28-24 victory and win the Big Eight Conference Championship. Biography The Main Frame days (2001-2004) The Main Frame was a Long Beach darkwave band formed in 2001 with Steve Krolikowski (vocals and guitar) and Rob Wallace (keyboard). After recording a full-length album, ''Curse of Evolution'' (2003) and an unreleased EP, the band decided to dissolve.
