Ingeborg Maria Sick
Ingeborg Maria Sick (1858–1951) was a Danish writer and philanthropist. After devoting many years to supporting philanthropic initiatives for the poor and needy, from her forties she concentrated on writing, publishing some 30 novels as well as poetry and biographies. ''Fangernes Ven'' (Friend of the Prisones, 1921), a biography of the Swedish-Finnish philanthropist Mathilda Wrede, is among her most important works. Published in translation throughout Scandinavia and Germany, her novels were widely read. ''Helligt Ægterskab'' (Holy Matrimony, 1903) appeared in no less than six editions in a single year. Sick (born April 4, 1935) is an American academic and analyst of Middle East affairs, with special expertise on Iran, who served on the U.S. National Security Council under Presidents Ford, Carter, and for a couple weeks under Reagan as well. Anna (or Anne) Laura Sick (born ''Mahir''; 10 July 1803 – 19 February 1895, Berlin?) was a German composer and pianist who served as the court pianist and Mistress of Piano to the court in Stuttgart. Sick was born on 10 July 1803, in Munich as Anna Laura Mahir. She studied in Salzburg with Maria Anna Mozart, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's older sister.
