''Saino'' ( ne, साईनो) is a hit 1988 Nepali film directed by Ugyen Chopel. It starred Danny Denzongpa, Bhuwan K.C., Tripti Nadakar and child actor Raksha. The music of the film was composed by Ranjit Gazmer. Danny Denzongpa wrote the story of the film and Tulsi Ghimire scripted the dialogues. The film's success led to its remake of a Hindi film ''Bandhu (1992 film)''. A TV serial titled ''Ajnabi, Ajnabee'' was also made that was based on ''Saino''. Tripti Nadakar ( ne, तृप्ती नदाकर; born January 2, 1959) is an Indian actress who worked in Cinema of Nepal, Nepali cinema. She has performed in more than a dozen Nepali films. Her hit movies were ''Samjhana'', ''Kusume Rumal'', ''Saino'' and ''Lahure (film), Lahure''. She and Bhuwan K.C. were dubbed the first golden couple of Nepali film industry. Ranjit Gazmer
Ranjit Gazmer is an Indian film music director and a musician, who is noted for his work in Nepali-language films. He had a long association with music director R.D. Burman as a musician. Early life Ranjit Gazmer is from a gold merchant family of Darjeeling, West Bengal. Gazmer was a student of Amber Gurung at his Art Academy of Music in Darjeeling. His contemporaries were Gopal Yonzon, Karma Yonzon, Sharan Pradhan, Aruna Lama and Jitendra Bardewa, all of whom went on to be musicians. He was a part of a musical group called 'Sangam Club' and was also a drummer for 'The Hillians', the first-ever western band formed in Darjeeling. In 1966, he moved to Birgunj, Nepal with his friends, which included Anuradha Koirala (then Anuradha Gurung), managing an English-medium private school. ''Bandhu'' () is a Hindi-language action drama film directed by Ugyen Chopel and produced by Romesh Sharma. This film was released on 29 August 1992 under the banner of NH Studioz. Bandhu is the Hindi remake of 1987 Nepali film Saino directed by the same director. Plot Dipak leaves Bombay to stay in a hill station with his wife Nita and their only child Binu. A Local evil landlord, Ajit Bihari, tries to capture Dipak's land. After few days, Dipak dies in a road accident. One night Bihari intrudes into Dipak's house and tries to rape a helpless Nita. Suddenly a stranger enters the house and saves her. Nita's son Binu calls him Bandhu (Friend). A friendly relationship forms between them, and the stranger lives with them. Ajnabi is an Indian drama series broadcast on DD Metro channel. The serial's story and screenplay was written by acclaimed actor Danny Denzongpa. It was directed by Mohinder Batra and produced by Romesh Sharma. The series was loosely based on the Nepali film Saino, written by Denzongpa and directed by his nephew Ugyen.
