John Walker Ryon
John Walker Ryon (March 4, 1825 – March 12, 1901) was a Democratic member of the U.S. House of Representatives from Pennsylvania. Biography John W. Ryon was born in Elkland, Pennsylvania on March 4, 1825. He attended the common schools, Millville Academy in Orleans County, New York, and Wellsboro Academy in Wellsboro, Pennsylvania. He then studied law, was admitted to the bar in 1847, and open a law practice in Lawrenceville, Pennsylvania. From 1850 to 1856, he served as district attorney of Tioga County, Pennsylvania. During the American Civil War, Ryon assisted with the organization of Company A of the famous Bucktail Regiment, and was then appointed by Governor Andrew Gregg Curtin as paymaster with the rank of major in the reserve corps. Ruth E. Ryon (July 16, 1944 – March 28, 2014) was a celebrity real estate columnist for the ''Los Angeles Times'', who retired in April 2008 after more than 23 years of writing the paper's popular "Hot Property" celebrity real estate column. Ryon is widely credited with having created the celebrity real estate journalism genre. Professional career Ryon's tenure at the ''Los Angeles Times'' dates back at least to the 1970s. Her first byline with the paper was on November 20, 1977. Later on, while reading Parade magazine, Ryon got the idea to write a column with short, pithy items about celebrities buying and selling houses, and she received the go-ahead from her editors to do it. Ryon's first "Hot Property" column appeared on November 25, 1984, and was about Johnny Carson paying $9.5 million for a house in Malibu, California. Ryon Jeffry Bingham (born June 6, 1981) is a former American football defensive tackle. He attended Alta High School located in Sandy, Utah. Bingham graduated from the University of Nebraska with a degree in Crimininal Justice. Bingham was released from the Chargers defensive line on September 1, 2010. Early years Bingham was a standout football player and a two-time Class 5A heavyweight wrestling champion. He played offensive tackle and nose guard at Alta High School in Sandy, Utah. The Salt Lake Tribune Defensive Player of the Year, Gatorade Player of the year, Bingham earned All-State honors and was the Utah Player of the Year. In 1998, Bingham recorded 87 tackles, 14 sacks, four pass breakups, five fumbles caused and two recoveries. Ryon Cristopher Healy (born January 10, 1992) is an American former professional baseball first baseman and third baseman. He previously played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the Oakland Athletics, Seattle Mariners, and Milwaukee Brewers as well as for the Hanwha Eagles of the KBO League. Amateur career Healy attended Crespi Carmelite High School in Encino, California. Undrafted out of high school, Healy enrolled at the University of Oregon, where he played college baseball as a first baseman for the Oregon Ducks.
