Romance Comics
Romance comics is a comics genre depicting strong and close romantic love and its attendant complications such as jealousy, marriage, divorce, betrayal, and heartache. The term is generally associated with an American comic books genre published through the first three decades of the Cold War (1947–1977). Romance comics of the period typically featured dramatic scripts about the love lives of older high school teens and young adults, with accompanying artwork depicting an urban or rural America contemporaneous with publication. The origins of romance comics lie in the years immediately following World War II when adult comics readership increased and superheroes were dismissed as ''passé''. ''Blood Alone'' is a Japanese manga series written by Masayuki Takano, author of ''Boogiepop Dual''. It was originally published as a ''dōjinshi''. The manga ended abruptly in Spring 2014, however the story was concluded in a dōjinshi. Plot Kuroe Kurose is a former vampire hunter, turned private detective and author. He lives in modern-day Yokohama with Misaki Minato, an adolescent girl who has recently been turned into a vampire. Black Rose Alice
is a Japanese fantasy romance manga series written and illustrated by Setona Mizushiro. It was serialized in Akita Shoten's '' Princess'' magazine from 2008 to 2011, after which the manga was put on hold for eight years. Mizushiro resumed serialization under the title in Shogakukan's ''Flowers'' magazine in April 2020. The original ''Black Rose Alice'' manga was published as six volumes by Akita Shoten and licensed in English by Viz Media. Black Bird (manga)
is a Japanese ''shōjo'' manga series written and illustrated by Kanoko Sakurakoji. The story depicts the life of a high school girl who can see supernatural beings. It was serialized in Shogakukan's '' Betsucomi'' magazine from July 2006 to December 2012 and published in 18 bound volumes from January 2007 to April 2013. Bakuman
is a Japanese manga series written by Tsugumi Ohba and illustrated by Takeshi Obata, the same creative team responsible for ''Death Note''. It was serialized in Shueisha's ''shōnen'' manga magazine ''Weekly Shōnen Jump'' from August 2008 to April 2012, with its 176 chapters collected into 20 ''tankōbon'' volumes.
