ReQall
reQall debuted in 2007 as an app that intelligently organized your spoken voice notes winning a DEMOgod award. Their first app was a voice-enabled personal productivity software program that integrates phone, email, text messaging and IM into a mobile memory aid. The software was available as a web-based application or as a download for the Apple iPhone, Android or the RIM BlackBerry smartphone. It was available in free and paid versions. reQall was recognized as one of the top 25 ideas from MIT Media Lab over the past 25 years and is based on the Phd research work of Sunil Vemuri. Focused on how mobile technology could be used to help people capture their daily experiences and then efficiently catalog that information so that it could be retrieved and used at a later time. Sunil Vemuri
Sunil Vemuri is a co-founder of reQall Inc., an MIT Media Lab spin off, and a NASA Research Partner. His areas of research include human memory assistance, information retrieval, information extraction, information visualization, knowledge acquisition, organizational memory, speech recognition, and interface/interaction design. CNN has named Sunil Vemuri a "CNN Explorer" in 2005. On the occasion of the 25th anniversary of MIT's Media Lab, his research has been cited as one of the top 25 ideas that have been spun out of the Media Lab. Prior to reQall, he worked at France Telecom's Cambridge Lab. and Apple Inc. He has six patents in information retrieval and his research has been extensively covered in mainstream press. Freeware

The Sony SmartWatch is a line of wearable devices developed and marketed by Sony Mobile from 2012 to 2016 through three generations. Pebble is a discontinued smartwatch developed by Pebble Technology Corporation. Funding was conducted through a Kickstarter campaign running from April 11, 2012, to May 18, 2012, which raised $10.3 million; it was the most funded project in Kickstarter history, at the time. Pebble began shipping watches to Kickstarter backers in January 2013. Pebble watches can be connected to Android and iOS devices to show notifications and messages. Qualcomm Toq
The Toq (pronounced “tok” as in "tick-tock") is a smartwatch developed by Qualcomm released as a proof of concept to OEMs and was released in limited quantities in December 2013. The Toq was first unveiled at Qualcomm's annual Uplinq event on September 4, 2013 in San Diego. It syncs with Android 4.0+ smartphones, allowing users to scan through texts, emails, phone calls, and other notifications. It features a Mirasol display, which like E Ink e-reader screens, can be easily viewed in direct sunlight. Unlike most ereaders, it can display colors and can refresh fast enough for watching videos, it also includes speech recognition technology from Nuance to allow users to dictate replies to text messages. Google Glass
Google Glass, or simply Glass, is a brand of smart glasses developed and sold by Google. It was developed by X (previously Google X), with the mission of producing an ubiquitous computer. Google Glass displays information to the wearer using a head-up display. Wearers communicate with the Internet via natural language voice commands. Google started selling a prototype of Google Glass to qualified "Glass Explorers" in the US on April 15, 2013, for a limited period for $1,500, before it became available to the public on May 15, 2014. It had an integral 5 megapixel still/720p video camera. The headset received a great deal of criticism amid concerns that its use could violate existing privacy laws. Samsung Gear is a line of wearable computing devices produced by Samsung Electronics. The first device in the series, the Samsung Galaxy Gear smartwatch, was announced in 2013. Since then, the line has expanded to include fitness bands and earbuds, as well as more smartwatches.
