Rosalind Chast (born November 26, 1954) is an American cartoonist and a staff cartoonist for ''The New Yorker''. Since 1978, she has published more than 800 cartoons in ''The New Yorker''. She also publishes cartoons in ''Scientific American'' and the ''Harvard Business Review''. In recognition of her work, Comics Alliance listed Chast as one of twelve women cartoonists deserving of lifetime achievement recognition. Rosalind Savage MBE FRGS (born 23 December 1967) is an English ocean rower, environmental advocate, writer and speaker. She holds four Guinness World Records for ocean rowing, including first woman to row solo across three oceans: the Atlantic, Pacific and Indian. She has rowed over 15,000 miles, taken around 5 million oarstrokes, and spent cumulatively over 500 days of her life at sea in a 23-foot rowboat. Roz Joseph (June 30, 1926 – December 25, 2019) was an American photographer. She took black-and-white photographs of New York City and color photographs of the local architecture and drag scene of San Francisco, California. Photography career Joseph took photographs during her travels in Europe and North Africa, only to return to New York City, where she specialized in black-and-white images. Shortly after winning the grand prize in a photo competition run by the '' Saturday Review'' in 1963, Joseph returned to Europe. She also won the Purchase Award from the Concord Community Arts Department of the National Photography Competition. Joseph relocated to San Francisco in 1970, where she mainly took color photographs of the local architecture and drag queens. Roswell Howard, Sr. (January 1, 1922 – January 1, 2013) was an American stock car racing driver. He competed in the NASCAR Grand National Series and the NASCAR Convertible Division in the 1950s and early 1960s, in addition to racing throughout the southeast, winning the 1957 MARC Southern Late Model Championship. Early life Howard was born in Macon County, Georgia, in 1922, on a cotton farm; crop destruction by boll weevils and the Great Depression meant that his family moved to Macon early in his life, where he apprenticed at a local automobile dealer. Rosalind Anne Rosemary Hanby (born 2 October 1951) is an English former flight attendant notable for being the face of British Airways in their "Fly the Flag" advertising campaign over a seven-year period starting in the mid-1970s through the 1980s. She became a minor celebrity as a result, working as a television presenter before becoming a nurse. Early life She was educated at the Lycée Français and became fluent in French and Spanish.
