James Righton
James Nicholas Righton (born 25 August 1983) is a British musician. As well as singing, he was the keyboard-player of the London-based new rave band Klaxons, which disbanded in 2015. In March 2016, Righton announced his new project Shock Machine with a video directed by Saam Farahmand. Righton released his first solo album ''The Performer'' on Soulwax's Deewee label in March 2020. Early life Righton was born in Stratford-upon-Avon, England. Righton's father, a musician and cobbler, encouraged him to be a part of several bands that performed regularly while he was still at Stratford-upon-Avon High School. Career While attending the High School at Stratford-upon-Avon, Righton met Simon Taylor-Davis and taught him to play the guitar. Alexander Alan Righton (1905–1982) was an Australian rugby league footballer who played in the 1920s and 1930s. Background Righton was born in Redfern, New South Wales on 18 February 1905. Playing career Righton went on to become one of South Sydney Rabbitohs greatest fullbacks, and a premiership winner. Righton was a South's junior, and made his first grade debut in 1925. Edward Grantham Righton (23 November 1884 – 3 January 1964) was an English first-class cricketer who played four matches for Worcestershire between 1911 and 1913. Although he had appeared for Worcestershire's Second XI in the Minor Counties Championship as early as 1907, Righton made his first-class debut in July 1911, playing against Leicestershire at Worcester. Leonard Stephen Righton (12 October 1898 – 14 February 1972) was a New Zealand rugby union player. Primarily a lock, Righton represented Auckland at a provincial level, and was a member of the New Zealand national side, the All Blacks, in 1923 and 1925.
