Rewe (stylized as REWE; ) is a supermarket chain in Germany and the main brand of Rewe Group headquartered in Cologne. The name originated from an abbreviation of the original name "Revisionsverband der Westkauf-Genossenschaften" (Audit union for Westkauf-Cooperatives). With about 3,300 stores, Rewe is the second largest food retailer in Germany behind Edeka. In 2011, the company started a delivery service with a test run in Frankfurt am Main, which was gradually expanded to locations throughout Germany. Harvey William Rew (born 25 September 2002) is an English footballer who plays for Gosport Borough as either a centre-back or a left-back. Club career Portsmouth Rew progressed through Pompey's youth categories. (Anna) Kate Rew (born 11 September 1970) is an English journalist and author who founded the Outdoor Swimming Society. Rew lives in Frome, Somerset. Early life Rew grew up on her family's dairy farm in Devon, where she developed her love of wild swimming in the River Culm. She attended the University of Oxford. Career Rew is known for promoting wild swimming and nude swimming. Rew worked as a freelance journalist, writing for The Guardian, The Times, Evening Standard, Grazia, ELLE and The Sunday Times. Rew founded the Outdoor Swimming Society in 2006. Her book "Wild Swim" became a bestseller. Quentin Rew (born 16 July 1984) is a race walker from New Zealand. At the 2011 World Athletics Championships Rew finished 24th in the 50 kilometres race walk. He represented New Zealand in the 50 km race walk at the 2012 Summer Olympics, originally finishing 30th. With the subsequent ban for a doping offence of Igor Yerokhin (who finished fifth) Rew's placing would be raised to 29th. Kimberley Charles Rew (born 3 December 1951) is an English rock singer-songwriter and guitarist. He is best known as a member of Katrina and the Waves from 1981 to 1999 and of Robyn Hitchcock's Soft Boys from 1978 to 1981. Rew Down is a 23.5-hectare biological Site of Special Scientific Interest and Local Nature Reserve located on the south-east edge of the Isle of Wight in the hills to the west of Ventnor. The area is a chalk grassland sloping to the south and offering panoramic and far-reaching views of the English Channel. Rewe, Devon
Rewe is a village and civil parish in the county of Devon in England. It lies on the river Culm, north of the city of Exeter and south of the town of Tiverton. Rewe is a linear village, with most of its buildings lying along the A396 road about north of the larger village of Stoke Canon. The Reading to Plymouth railway line also passes through the village, but there has never been a station here; the nearest operating station () is Exeter St Davids. Before its closure, Stoke Canon station was the nearest. The parish church is the Church of St. Mary the Virgin, built around 1450 in the Perpendicular Gothic style. The hamlet of Up Exe (or Upexe) lies close to the River Exe about north of the village of Rewe and is included in Rewe civil parish, although it is closer to Silverton.
