Raslila
The rasalila (), also rendered the raslila or the ras dance, is part of the traditional story of Krishna described in Hindu scriptures such as the Bhagavata Purana and literature such as the Gita Govinda, where he dances with Radha and the gopis of Vraja. Rasalila has also been a popular theme for other India classical dances including Bharatanatyam, Odissi, Manipuri, Kuchipudi, and Kathak. The Indian classical dance of Kathak evolved from the rasalila of Vraja and ''Manipuri Raas Leela Classical Dance'' (Vrindavana) also known as ''Natwari Nritya'', which was revived in 1960s by the Kathak dancer, Uma Sharma. Radha
Radha ( sa, राधा, ), also called Radhika, is a Hindu goddess and the chief consort of the god Krishna. She is worshiped as the goddess of love, tenderness, compassion, and devotion. She is the avatar of goddess Lakshmi and is also described as the chief of the ''Gopis'' (milkmaids). During Krishna's youth, she appears as his lover and companion. Many traditions and scriptures accord Radha the status of the eternal consort and wife of Krishna. Kathak ( hi, कथक; ur, کتھک) is one of the eight major forms of Indian classical dance. It is the classical dance from of Uttar Pradesh. The origin of Kathak is traditionally attributed to the traveling bards in ancient northern India known as Kathakars or storytellers. Uma Sharma
Uma Sharma (born 1942) is a kathak dancer, choreographer and teacher. She is also runs the Bharatiya Sangeet Sadan, Delhi, a classical dance and music academy, situated in New Delhi, founded by her father in 1946. She is most known for reviving the old classical dance form of ''Natwari Nritya'' or the Raslila of Brindavan, which later evolved into the Kathak. Kathak is based on devotional Krishna poetry of the medieval centuries and the highly cultivated court poetry of the 18th and 19th centuries which celebrated '' shringara'', the sentiment of love. Bishnupriya Manipuri People
The Bishnupriya Manipuris, officially known as simply the Bishnupriyas, are a group of Indo-Aryan people that live in Assam, Tripura, Manipur and northeastern Bangladesh. They speak the Bishnupriya, which is a creole of Bengali language and Meitei language (officially known as Manipuri language) and it still retains its pre-Bengali features. The most distinctive feature of the language is it replete with Tibeto-Burman ( Meitei) elements.
