Quota International
Quota International, Inc. was an international service organization that, until it dissolved in 2020, provided basic needs to women, children, the deaf, and hard of hearing in communities around the world. Quota International's world service projects were aligned with the United Nations' Millennium Development Goals. Specifically, Quota clubs worked towards UN MDG Goals 1 and 3: to eradicate extreme poverty and hunger, and to promote gender equality and empower women, respectively. The organization was founded in Buffalo, New York, in 1919 by Wanda Frey Joiner, as a service club for women similar to that of popular all-male clubs. History Wanda Frey Joiner Wanda Frey Joiner was born in Odessa, Russia, in 1882. Her father, Alexander Frey, was of German heritage and studied at the Imperial Academy of Arts in St. Petersburg. Individual Fishing Quota
Individual fishing quotas (IFQs), also known as "individual transferable quotas" (ITQs), are one kind of ''catch share'', a means by which many governments regulate fishing. The regulator sets a species-specific total allowable catch (TAC), typically by weight and for a given time period. A dedicated portion of the TAC, called quota shares, is then allocated to individuals. Quotas can typically be bought, sold and leased, a feature called transferability. As of 2008, 148 major fisheries (generally, a single species in a single fishing ground) around the world had adopted some variant of this approach, along with approximately 100 smaller fisheries in individual countries. Approximately 10% of the marine harvest was managed by ITQs as of 2008. The first countries to adopt individual fishing quotas were the Netherlands, Iceland and Canada in the late 1970s, and the most recent is the United States Scallop General Category IFQ Program in 2010. The first country to adopt individual transf ...

Quota (film)
''Quota'' is a 2020 Indian Tamil-language film directed by P. Amudhavanan, produced by Team A Ventures, and starring Chella, Saji Subarna, Naresh Madeswar, Bhavass, and Niharika. The film tells the story of two underprivileged children who struggle to achieve their dreams. Plot The plot revolves around a talented child from a tribal hamlet who yearns to become a gymnast. The spotlight is primarily on how children from underprivileged backgrounds continue to struggle to achieve their dreams, when it shouldn’t be so. Why can’t every talented child get his/her due? It relates the situation faced by an ambitious, loyal and happy family in their daily walks of financially uncontrollable lifestyle. Disk Quota
A disk quota is a limit set by a system administrator that restricts certain aspects of file system usage on modern operating systems. The function of using disk quotas is to allocate limited disk space in a reasonable way. Types of quotas There are two basic types of disk quotas. The first, known as a ''usage quota'' or ''block quota'', limits the amount of disk space that can be used. The second, known as a ''file quota'' or ''inode quota'', limits the number of files and directories that can be created. In addition, administrators usually define a warning level, or ''soft quota'', at which users are informed they are nearing their limit, that is less than the effective limit, or ''hard quota''. There may also be a small ''grace interval'', which allows users to temporarily violate their quotas by certain amounts if necessary. Quotas Disk quotas are typically implemented on a per-user or per-group basis. That is, a system administrator defines a usage or file quota specific to ...

He did not return to records until 1971, when he cut '' Auf Wiedersehen'' and this particular LP ... Garland plays in the same distinctive style he had in the 1950s, not showing any decline or loss of chops".

Ticket Quota
Ticket quotas are commonly defined as any establishment of a predetermined or specified number of traffic citations an officer must issue in a specified time. Some police departments may set "productivity goals" but deny specific quotas. In many places, such as California, Texas, and Florida, traffic ticket quotas are specifically prohibited by law or illegal. United States One common way of preventing traffic ticket quotas includes statutorily regulating the distribution of ticket fine revenue, to prevent it going straight back to the law enforcement agency which issued the tickets; thus eliminating any direct monetary incentive to issue tickets. Florida Florida law distributes traffic ticket fine monies by small percentages or amounts to several separate funds preventing it from going back to the agency which issued the ticket. Some of these different funds include the overall governmental entities' general revenue fund, Child Welfare Training Trust Fund, Juvenile Justice Trai ...

Import Quota
An import quota is a type of trade restriction that sets a physical limit on the quantity of a good that can be imported into a country in a given period of time. Quotas, like other trade restrictions, are typically used to benefit the producers of a good in that economy (protectionism). Quota share The quota share is a specified number or percentage of the allotment as a whole quota, that is prescribed to each individual entity. For example, the United States imposes an import quota on cars from Japan. The Japanese government may see fit to impose a quota share program to determine the number of cars each Japanese car manufacturer may export to the United States. Any extra number that a manufacturer wishes to export must be negotiated with another manufacturer that did not or cannot maximize its share of the quota. There are also quota share insurance programs, where the liability and the premiums are divided proportionally among the insurers. For example, three companies take o ...

Market Sharing Quota
The Market Sharing Quota (MSQ), In Canadian agricultural policy, is the federally-determined target for the amount of industrial milk to produce nationwide each year as part of its policy of supply management. It is determined by estimating the domestic demand for dairy products on a butterfat basis, adding about 3% to cover exports and subtracting the volume of approved imports. Provincial shares of the national quota are adjusted in line with changes in the total, and each province allocates its share to its producers according to its own quota policies. The Canadian Dairy Commission sets a target price for industrial milk based on production costs, including a return to labour, capital and management. Dairy farmers receive a payment from their provincial marketing board on in-quota deliveries of industrial milk. Farmers who produce in excess of their quota do not receive payments and, in some provinces, may face a financial penalty. Each province maintains and administers it ...

Racial Quota
Racial quotas in employment and education are numerical requirements for hiring, promoting, admitting and/or graduating members of a particular Race (classification of human beings), racial group. Racial quotas are often established as means of diminishing racial discrimination, addressing under-representation and evident racism against those racial groups or, the opposite, against the disadvantaged majority group (see ''numerus clausus'' or ''Bumiputera (Malaysia), bhumiputra'' systems). Conversely, quotas have also been used historically to promote discrimination against minority groups by limiting access to influential institutions in employment and education. These quotas may be determined by governmental authority and backed by governmental sanctions. When the total number of jobs or enrollment slots is fixed, this proportion may get translated to a specific number. Regions and nations Ancient Mongolia The Mongols divided different races into a four-class system during t ...
