Alfonso Martínez Domínguez (January 7, 1922 – November 6, 2002) was a Mexican governor of Nuevo León from 1979 to 1985. Personal life Son of physician Alfonso Martinez de la Garza and Margarita Rafaela Dominguez Samaniego; grandson of Alfonso Martinez de la Garza and Maria de la Garza. Porfirio Alejandro Muñoz Ledo y Lazo de la Vega (born July 23, 1933 in Mexico City) is a Mexican politician. He is one of the founders of the Party of the Democratic Revolution (PRD). He is the current Mexican Ambassador to Cuba since January 2022. Biography Muñoz Ledo studied law at the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM) from 1951 to 1955 and later pursued graduate studies at the University of Paris. He served as a member of the cabinets of presidents Luis Echeverría as Secretary of Labor (1972–1975); and José López Portillo as Secretary of Education (1976–1977). Gustavo Carvajal Moreno (1939 – 25 February 2017) was a Mexican politician and member of the Institutional Revolutionary Party (PRI), of which he became president. He also served as secretariat of agrarian reform, a senator, and a federal representative. He was the son of Ángel Carvajal Bernal, who was Governor of Veracruz from 1948 to 1950. Luis Donaldo Colosio Murrieta (; 10 February 1950 – 23 March 1994) was a Mexican politician, economist, and Institutional Revolutionary Party (PRI) presidential candidate, who was assassinated at a campaign rally in Tijuana during the Mexican presidential campaign of 1994. Political history Colosio was the son of Luis Colosio Fernández (1923–2010) and Ofelia Murrieta Armida García. Born into a family with a long political heritage in Magdalena de Kino, Sonora, Colosio's family was of Italian and Spanish descent.
