Non-consensual Condom Removal
Non-consensual condom removal, or "stealthing", is the practice of a man removing a condom during sexual intercourse without consent, when his sex partner has only consented to condom-protected sex. Victims are exposed to potential sexually transmitted infections (STIs) such as HIV/AIDS, or unwanted pregnancies. Such behaviour may be therefore regarded as sexual assault or rape, and sometimes as a form of reproductive coercion. As of 2020, stealthing is punishable as a form of sexual violence in some countries, such as Germany and the United Kingdom. Purposefully damaging a condom before or during intercourse may also be referred to as stealthing, regardless of who damaged the condom. History and practice In an article about stealthing published in the '' Columbia Journal of Gender and Law'', Alexandra Brodsky described victims' experiences, legal implications, and legal avenues to address stealthing. The term ''stealthing'' has been in use in the gay community to describ ...

R V Hutchinson
''R v Hutchinson'', 2014 SCC 19 is a decision of the Supreme Court of Canada on sexual assault and consent under the Criminal Code. The Court upheld the sexual assault conviction of a defendant in a condom sabotage case, holding that the complainant's consent to sexual activity with him had been vitiated by fraud when he poked holes in his condom. In the case Craig Hutchinson, the accused, had engaged in sexual intercourse with his partner, who had agreed on the condition that he use a condom. However, unknown to her, he had poked holes in it, resulting in the complainant becoming pregnant. On trial, he was convicted of aggravated sexual assault. He appealed to the Nova Scotia Court of Appeal, which upheld his conviction, with the majority holding that the use or non-use of a condom was an essential feature of sexual intercourse, and that the consent to one didn't apply to the other. The Supreme Court, applying sections 273.1(1) and 265(3) of the Criminal Code, established a two ...

Sex Worker
A sex worker is a person who provides sex work, either on a regular or occasional basis. The term is used in reference to those who work in all areas of the sex industry.Oxford English Dictionary, "sex worker" According to one view, sex work is different from sexual exploitation, or the forcing of a person to commit sexual acts, in that sex work is voluntary "and is seen as the commercial exchange of sex for money or goods". In an attempt to further clarify the broad term "sex work", John E. Exner, an American psychologist, worked with his colleagues to create five distinct classes for categorizing sex workers. One scholarly article details the classes as follows: "specifically, the authors articulated Class I, or the upper class (courtesans) of the profession, consisting of call girls; Class II was referred to as the middle class, consisting of 'in-house girls' who typically work in an establishment on a commission basis; Class III, the lower middle class, were 'streetwalkers' who ...

Men Who Have Sex With Men
Men who have sex with men (MSM) are male persons who engage in sexual activity with members of the same sex. The term was created in the 1990s by epidemiology, epidemiologists to study the spread of disease among all men who have sex with men, regardless of sexual identity, to include, for example, Male prostitution, male prostitutes. The term is often used in medical literature and social research to describe such men as a group for research studies. It does not describe any specific sexual activity, and which activities are covered by the term depends on context. As a constructed behavioral category The term ''men who have sex with men'' had been in use in public health discussions, especially in the context of HIV/AIDS, since 1990 or earlier, but the coining of the initialism by Michael Glick, Glick ''et al.'' in 1994 "signaled the crystallization of a new concept." This behavioral concept comes from two distinct academic perspectives. First, it was pursued by epidemiologist ...
