"Name and Number" (stylised on the single as "Name & No.") is a song by British musical group Curiosity Killed the Cat. Released as a single on 4 September 1989, the song peaking at number 14 on the UK Singles Chart. Background "Name and Number" was recorded at Ridge Farm Studios just after Christmas 1988 and mixed at Rak Studios in January 1989. Along with the four band members, the session was augmented by Paul "Wix" Wickens - keyboards from Paul McCartney's band and Molly Duncan (ex-Average White Band) on saxophone. The song was produced and mixed by Glenn Skinner with engineering by Glenn Skinner, Ren Swan, and Neil Brockbank. Curiosity Killed The Cat
Curiosity Killed the Cat was a British pop band that achieved success in the UK in the late 1980s, with hit singles such as " Down to Earth", " Misfit" and " Ordinary Day", from their No. 1 debut album, '' Keep Your Distance''. This was followed by '' Getahead'' with the accompanying hit " Name and Number", that was recreated by De La Soul in "Ring Ring Ring (Ha Ha Hey)" in 1991, Jaheim in " Ain't Leavin Without You" in 2010, and Little Mix in " How Ya Doin'?" in 2012. "How Ya Doin'?" is a song by British girl group Little Mix, featuring American rapper Missy Elliott. It was released on 15 April 2013, through Syco Music as the fourth and final single from Little Mix's debut studio album, '' DNA'' (2012). "How Ya Doin" was described by critics as a pop rap track and received generally favorable reviews from critics. "Ain't Leavin Without You" is a song by Jaheim. It was released to radio on October 23, 2009, and is the first single from his fifth studio album, ''Another Round (album), Another Round''. Jaheim H. Hoagland (born May 26, 1978), known mononymously as Jaheim, is an American Contemporary R&B, R&B singer. He was signed by Naughty by Nature's Kaygee to Divine Mill Records in 2000, and released his debut album ''Ghetto Love (album), Ghetto Love'' in 2001. De La Soul () is an American hip hop trio formed in 1988 in the Amityville area of Long Island, New York.
