Ninth Doctor
The Ninth Doctor is an incarnation of the Doctor, the protagonist of the BBC science fiction television programme ''Doctor Who''. He is portrayed by Christopher Eccleston during the first series of the show's revival in 2005. Within the series' narrative, the Doctor is a centuries-old alien Time Lord from the planet Gallifrey who travels in time and space in the TARDIS, frequently with companions. At the end of life, the Doctor regenerates; as a result, the physical appearance and personality of the Doctor changes. Eccleston's Doctor was a war-torn loner who disguises his trauma brought on by the Time War using a sense of humour and determination to protect the innocent. "Rose" is the opening episode of the first series of the revived British science fiction television programme ''Doctor Who''. The episode was directed by Keith Boak and written by Russell T Davies who was also one of the three executive producers. It was first broadcast in the UK on BBC One on 26 March 2005. Gallifrey
Gallifrey () is a fictional planet in the long-running British science fiction on television, science fiction television series ''Doctor Who''. It is the original home world of the Time Lords, the civilisation to which the protagonist, The Doctor (Doctor Who), the Doctor belongs. It is located in a binary star system 250 million light years from Earth. Keith Boak
Keith Boak is a British film and television director, best known for his work on several popular continuing drama series. He currently resides and works in the United States. Early life Born in Edinburgh, he attended the John Hampden High School, High Wycombe and graduated in law at the University of Bristol in 1984. The National Television Awards (often shortened to NTAs) is a British television awards ceremony, broadcast by the ITV network and initiated in 1995. Bruno Langley (born 21 March 1983) is an English former actor. Regeneration (Doctor Who)
In the long-running British science fiction television series '' Doctor Who'', regeneration is a biological ability exhibited by the Time Lords, a race of fictional humanoids originating on the planet Gallifrey.
