N28 (Long Island Bus)
The following bus routes are operated in Nassau County, New York. Most of these routes are operated under Nassau Inter-County Express (NICE), formerly MTA Long Island Bus, except in Greater Long Beach, where that city operates its own bus service through Long Beach Bus. Some of them are the direct descendants of streetcar lines (see List of streetcar lines on Long Island and in Queens), and most were previously privately operated prior to 1973. These routes are designated on the buses, bus stop signs, and timetables with a lowercase "n". Previously, the routes were designated with an uppercase "N", akin to routes in bus systems surrounding the area. Note that the buses purchased secondhand from Foothill Transit still display the uppercase "N" on their signs. This table gives details for the routes that service Nassau County primarily. The Beechcraft MQM-107 Streaker is a reusable, turbojet powered, target towing drone primarily used by the United States Army and the United States Air Force for testing and training. The US Army uses the drone for testing various surface-to-air missile systems such as the FIM-92 Stinger and the MIM-104 Patriot. The US Air Force uses them in practice engagements for their air-to-air missiles like the AIM-9 Sidewinder and the AIM-120 AMRAAM. Design and development The MQM-107 was originally developed by Beech Aircraft for the United States Army Aviation and Missile Command's 1972 Variable Speed Training Target (VSTT) requirement. It was announced as the winner in 1975, and the Army took delivery of the original model (the MQM-107A) until 1979. The London Night Bus network is a series of night bus routes that serve Greater London. Services broadly operate between the hours of 23:00 and 06:00. Many services commence from or operate via Trafalgar Square and are extensions or variations of daytime routes and hence derive their number from these; for example, route N73 Oxford Circus to Walthamstow follows that of route 73 as far as Stoke Newington, before continuing further north. N28 Road (Ireland)
The N28 road is a national primary road in Ireland. It connects the port and village of Ringaskiddy to the N40 South Ring Road in Cork city. The road begins at the Bloomfield Interchange on the N40 South Ring Road in Rochestown. It runs southwards as ''Carr’s Hill'' towards Carrigaline, leaving Cork at the L6467 junction, where it becomes ''Cork Road''. North of Carrigaline, the route passes through the Shannonpark Roundabout and proceeds east through the village of Shanbally to Ringaskiddy. Prior to the completion of the ''South Ring'', the N28 formed the route from the Bandon Road interchange through the Kinsale Road interchange to where it leaves the N40. As of 2021, 11 km of motorway was planned on the N28 between Cork and Ringaskiddy, with a final 1.5 km of single carriageway. Nieuport 28
The Nieuport 28 C.1, a French biplane fighter aircraft flown during World War I, was built by Nieuport and designed by Gustave Delage. Owing its lineage to the successful line of sesquiplane fighters that included the Nieuport 17, the Nieuport 28 continued a similar design philosophy of a lightweight and highly maneuverable aircraft. By the time the Nieuport 28 was available, the SPAD XIII had been chosen to equip the ''escadrilles de chasse'' of the Aéronautique Militaire for 1918, and this fighter was also the first choice for the projected American "pursuit" squadrons. In the event, a shortage of SPADs led to Nieuport 28s being issued to four American squadrons between March and August 1918, becoming the first aircraft to see operational service with an American fighter squadron. The Route nationale 28 is a trunk road in Normandy and Picardy in northwest France. It connects the city of Rouen to the port of Dunkerque. Most of the route has been superseded by the A28 autoroute.
