Nuevo León is a Administrative divisions of Mexico#States, state in Northeast Mexico that is divided into 51 municipalities of Mexico, municipalities. Ignacio José de Allende y Unzaga (, , ; January 21, 1769 – June 26, 1811), commonly known as Ignacio Allende, was a captain of the Spanish Army in New Spain who came to sympathize with the Mexican independence movement. He attended the secret meetings organized by Josefa Ortiz de Domínguez, where the possibility of an independent Mexico was discussed. He fought along with Miguel Hidalgo y Costilla in the first stage of the struggle, eventually succeeding him in leadership of the rebellion. Allende was captured by Spanish colonial authorities while he was in Coahuila and executed for treason in Chihuahua. Allende Municipality is a municipality located in the northeastern Mexican state of Nuevo León. It comprises a region known as Región Citrícola (Citrus Region), for being a major producer of orange at local, national and even international level. Allende is located at the Sierra Madre Oriental range foothills in the central-southeastern part in the state of Nuevo León. It has a territorial extension of 148.5 km², comprising around 0.22% of the whole extension of Nuevo León. Agualeguas
Agualeguas is both a city and a municipality located in the northeastern part of the state of Nuevo León, Mexico, (). The name "Agualeguas" honors the first inhabitants of the region, the Gualegua tribe. It was recognized as a village on January 7, 1821, by the colonial government because that was the date that Bro. Diego Velázquez declared it the village of "St. Nicholas of Gualeguas." This perpetuates the "pristine myth" of the Americas that the land was a clean slate with no peoples living on it. It creates the notion that the Gualegua did not have complex and organized societies with connections to the land. This is incorrect with the primary evidence that Bro. Mariano Abasolo
Jose Mariano de Abasolo (1783–1816) was a Mexican revolutionist, born at Dolores, Guanajuato. He participated in the revolution started by Miguel Hidalgo. Biography In 1809 he belonged to one of the first conspiracy groups located in Valladolid (today's Morelia). The conspiracy was discovered but Ignacio Allende and Abasolo were not imprisoned. Immediately they joined another conspiracy group in Queretaro. Abasolo was rich; mainly he economically supported the independence movement and was not involved in many military actions. At the beginning of the war, on 15 September 1810, he was ordered by Hidalgo to seize all the weapons and munitions that were kept in the arsenal of Dolores. General Escobedo, Nuevo León
General Escobedo, or simply Escobedo, is a city and municipality in Nuevo León, Mexico that is part of the Monterrey Metropolitan area. As of the census of 2005, the population was 295,131 in the city and 299,364 in the municipality. Guadalupe is a city and surrounding municipality located in the state of Nuevo León, in northern Mexico. It is part of the Greater Monterrey Metropolitan area.
