In ancient Greece, the moriai (plural of moria) were olive trees considered to be the property of the state because of their religious significance. Overview From ''Attic Orators'', vol. I. p. 289: Throughout Attica, besides the olives which were private property (ἴδιαι ἐλαῖαι, Lys. or. 7 § 10) there were others which, whether on public or on private lands, were considered as the property of the State. Moria Casán
Ana María Casanova (born August 16, 1946), known by her stage name Moria Casán, is an Argentine actress and TV personality. Casán made her theatre debut in 1970, and quickly became one of the country's leading vedettes during Argentina's Golden Age of revue. Moria Refugee Camp
Mória Reception and Identification Centre ( el, Κέντρο Υποδοχής και Ταυτοποίησης Μόριας), better known as Mória Refugee Camp, or just "Mória", was the largest refugee camp in Europe until it was burned down in September 2020. It was located outside the village of Moria ( el, Μόρια, ''Mória'') near Mytilene on the island of Lesbos. ''Moria'' is a dungeon crawl style role-playing video game developed for the PLATO system beginning around 1975 by Kevet Duncombe and Jim Battin. Steve Moria
Steve Moria (born February 3, 1961) is a British-Canadian (dual nationality) professional ice hockey player. He was born in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. Moria has won the IHJUK Player of the Year Trophy three times: in 1994–95, 2007–08 and 2008–09. Moria began his professional career playing for the New Haven Nighthawks in the American Hockey League's 1985–86 season; he was the last Nighthawk active in professional ice hockey. He moved to the United Kingdom to play for the Fife Flyers in the British Premier Division's 1986–87 season. Mytilene (; el, Μυτιλήνη, Mytilíni ; tr, Midilli) is the capital of the Greek island of Lesbos, and its port. Witzelsucht ( " joking addiction") is a set of pure and rare neurological symptoms characterized by a tendency to make puns, or tell inappropriate jokes or pointless stories in socially inappropriate situations. It makes one unable to read sarcasm. A less common symptom is hypersexuality, the tendency to make sexual comments at inappropriate times or situations. Patients do not understand that their behavior is abnormal, therefore they are nonresponsive to others' reactions. In music, 72 equal temperament, called twelfth-tone, 72-TET, 72- EDO, or 72-ET, is the tempered scale derived by dividing the octave into twelfth-tones, or in other words 72 equal steps (equal frequency ratios). Each step represents a frequency ratio of , or cents, which divides the 100 cent " halftone" into 6 equal parts (100 ÷ = 6) and is thus a "twelfth-tone" (). Since 72 is divisible by 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 8, 9, 12, 18, 24, 36, and 72, 72-EDO includes all those equal temperaments. In the fictional world of J. R. R. Tolkien, Moria, also named Khazad-dûm, is an ancient subterranean complex in Middle-earth, comprising a vast labyrinthine network of tunnels, chambers, mines and halls under the Misty Mountains, with doors on both the western and the eastern sides of the mountain range.
