Riigikogu
The Riigikogu (; from Estonian ''riigi-'', of the state, and ''kogu'', assembly) is the unicameral parliament of Estonia. In addition to approving legislation, the Parliament appoints high officials, including the Prime Minister and Chief Justice of the Supreme Court, and elects (either alone or, if necessary, together with representatives of local government within a broader electoral college) the President. The ''Riigikogu'' also ratifies significant foreign treaties that impose military and proprietary obligations, bring about changes in the law, etc.; approves the budget presented by the government as law and monitors the executive power. Harri Õunapuu (born 2 February 1947) is an Estonian agronomist and former politician. He served as Minister of Finance from 2002 to 2003. From 1989 until 1991, he was the Governor of Rapla County. Sven Mikser
Sven Mikser (born 8 November 1973) is an Estonian politician. Career As a member of the Estonian Centre Party from 2002 to 2003, Mikser served as the minister of defence in the Siim Kallas' cabinet. Mikser was the leader of the Social Democratic Party between 16 October 2010 and 30 May 2015. He has been the Minister of Defence since 26 March 2014 in Taavi Rõivas' first and second cabinets. On 23 November 2016 he assumed the position of Minister of Foreign Affairs in the cabinet of Jüri Ratas. Mikser was elected as a Member of the European Parliament in 2019. He has since been serving on the Committee on Foreign Affairs and its Subcommittee on Security and Defence. Robert Lepikson (14 June 1952 – 1 July 2006) was an Estonian politician, businessman and rally driver/co-driver. As a rally driver, he was the Estonian champion three times, winner of the Baltic Cup and was the head of the Estonian motosport league. As a politician, he switched party memberships several times, having been a member of the Estonian Coalition Party, the Estonian Centre Party and the People's Union of Estonia. He was the mayor of Tallinn for 7 months in 1996 and 1997. He lost his position as a result of conflicts caused by his out-spoken nature regarding fellow politicians in public. Heimar Lenk
Heimar Lenk (born 17 September 1946 in Tallinn) is an Estonian people, Estonian journalist and politician. He has supported the Estonian Centre Party since 1994. Biography Lenk studied at Tallinn University of Technology, Tallinn Polytechnic Institute as well as at Moscow State University. He then went on to work for Estonian newspapers such as ''Säde'', ''Õhtuleht'', ''Rahva Hääl'', and ''Noorte Hääl''. In 1974 he worked in Estonian Radio and Estonian Television, and he also covered Russian radio and television stories for the Estonian audience. In 1999 he was the voice of the Driving Centre Party newspaper ''Kesknädal'', becoming editor-in-chief. From 2002 to 2005, he was a member of the Tallinn City Council.
