Michael Malarkey
Michael Karim Malarkey (born 21 June 1983) is a British-American actor and musician. He is best known for playing the role of Enzo in the series ''The Vampire Diaries''. Early life Malarkey was born in Beirut, Lebanon, to an Irish American father and a British mother of Palestinian and Italian origins. He is the oldest of three brothers and was raised in Yellow Springs, Ohio. In 2006, Malarkey travelled to England to study at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art. The Boy Who Came Back From Heaven
''The Boy Who Came Back From Heaven: A True Story'' is a best-selling 2010 Christian book that purported to tell the story of Alex Malarkey's experiences in heaven after a traffic accident in 2004. It was published by Tyndale House Publishers in 2010. Alex's father Kevin Malarkey is credited as a co-author along with Alex, although Kevin holds sole copyright. Alex admitted in writing the story was made up and he never went to heaven. The book has been pulled since. The book was a commercial success, selling over a million copies. It was adapted into a television film in March 2010. Since publication, Alex Malarkey and his mother Beth have disavowed the book. Bill Malarkey (politician)
William Mackay Malarkey (18 June 1951– 20 February 2020) was a Manx politician, who was elected Liberal Vannin MHK for Douglas South but later defected from the party and sat as an independent. In the 2011 general election he lost his seat to Liberal Vannin candidate Kate Beecroft. He was re-elected at a by-election in May 2015 as an independent candidate, and retained his seat for Douglas South in September 2016. Bill Malarkey died on 20 February 2020. He had been suffering from cancer for some time. Career At the 2006 Manx general election, Malarkey was elected as the Liberal Vannin Party Member of the House of Keys for Douglas South, alongside David Cretney who was elected for the Manx Labour Party. Donald George Malarkey (July 31, 1921 – September 30, 2017) was a non-commissioned officer with Easy Company, 2nd Battalion, 506th Parachute Infantry Regiment, in the 101st Airborne Division of the United States Army during World War II. Malarkey was portrayed in the HBO miniseries '' Band of Brothers'' by Scott Grimes. Early life Donald Malarkey was born in Astoria, Oregon, on July 31, 1921, to Leo and Helen (née Trask) Malarkey, married in 1918. He graduated from Astoria High School in 1939 and was of Irish descent. As a youth, he worked on a purse seiner crew on the Columbia River. Gary Robert Malarkey (born 23 May 1953) is a former Australian rules footballer, who represented East Perth ( WAFL), Geelong (VFL/AFL), Geelong West ( VFA), Western Australia, and Victoria. A list of regular opponents that included Hudson, Quinlan, Templeton, Blight and Roach would daunt most defenders but for the hard working and dedicated Gary Malarkey it was all in a day's work. XS Malarkey
XS Malarkey is a not for profit comedy club in Manchester. It is promoted and compered by the comedian and actor Toby Hadoke, and runs every Tuesday night. In 2007, a Guardian article described XS Malarkey as a "great example of how a club should be run". It began life in 1997 at Scruffy Murphys (now Sir Joseph Whitworth) in Fallowfield, before moving down the road to Bar XS on 25 September 2001, where the headline acts were Toby Foster and Jimmy Carr. In 2010, it moved once again to The Queen of Hearts (Now 256 Wilmslow Road), before moving to Platt Chapel 186 Wilmslow Road in 2011. During 2013, XS Malarkey was resident at the now defunct Jabez Clegg Beer Hall. In January 2014, XS Malarkey moved to the Pub/Zoo on Grosvenor Street, which was rebranded as the Bread Shed behind the Flour and Flagon in August 2017. The National Poetry Competition is an annual poetry prize established in 1978 in the United Kingdom. It is run by the UK-based Poetry Society and accepts entries from all over the world, with over 10,000 poems being submitted to the competition each year.
