Lokesh
Lokesh (; 19 May 1947 – 14 October 2004) was an Indian actor who appeared in Kannada plays and films. His wife Girija Lokesh is an actress and film director. His father was Subbaiah Naidu, who is credited to be first hero of Kannada silent movies. Lokesh made his film debut in the 1958 film '' Bhakta Prahlada''. He had thrice won the Karnataka State Film Award for Best Actor during his career, for ''Bhootayyana Maga Ayyu'' (1974), for ''Parasangada Gendethimma'' (1978) and for ''Banker Margayya'' (1984). Srujan Lokesh
Srujan Lokesh (born 28 June 1980) is an Indian actor, television presenter, radio presenter and producer who mainly works in the Kannada film industry. Production house Lokesh Productions was founded by Srujan Lokesh and his mother Girija Lokesh in 2013. The production house has produced several shows on television including ''Challenge'', ''Chota Champion'' and ''Kaasige Toss'', all being reality shows. Girija Lokesh
Girija Lokesh is an Indian theatre and film actress and occasional film producer who works in Kannada cinema. She is wife of actor Lokesh, and is the mother of former actress Pooja Lokesh, and actor and television presenter Srujan Lokesh. In recognition of her contribution towards Kannada cinema, she was honoured with Rajyotsava Award by the Government of Karnataka in 2013. ''Kakana Kote'' ( kn, ಕಾಕನ ಕೋಟೆ) is a 1977 Indian Kannada biographical drama film adapted from Masti Venkatesh Iyengar's stage play of the same name. The film plot tells the story of Kaka Nayaka who was instrumental in stopping the exploitation of tribal people in Mysore district against the tax payment from middlemen who were representing the ruling kingdom government. The film was directed by acclaimed theater artist C. R. Simha and the music was composed by C. Ashwath. The film featured seasoned actors such as Lokesh, Lokanath, Srinath and Girija Lokesh in the lead roles. The film was critically acclaimed and premiered in many film festivals. Bhootayyana Maga Ayyu
''Bhootayyana Maga Ayyu'' () is 1974 Indian Kannada-language drama film directed by Siddalingaiah, who co-wrote the screenplay with Gorur Ramaswamy Iyengar, based on Iyengar's short story of the same name from his novel, ''Vayyari.'' The film stars Vishnuvardhan and Lokesh; with M. P. Shankar, Jayamala, Rushyendramani and Balakrishna all acting in supporting roles. The film revolves around the enmity between two villagers, Ayyu and Gulla and how they mend their relationship. ''Bhootayyana Maga Ayyu'' was a 12 page short story in a compilation of stories by Gorou Ramaswamy. Ramaswamy had initially declined to give the rights to the story but eventually agreed. Subbaiah Naidu
Mysore Venkatappa Subbaiah Naidu (1896 – 21 July 1962) was an Indian stage artiste in the silent movies era. He was an actor and director, well known for the movies '' Sati Sulochana'' (1934) in Kannada, which was also the first Kannada talkie, '' Bhookailas'' in Telugu and '' Bhakta Prahlada'' (1958) in Kannada. He acted in the first Kannada movie and brought distinction to Kannada cinema. He was the father of Kannada actor Lokesh and the grandfather of Kannada TV personality Srujan Lokesh. Karnataka State Film Award for Best Actor is a state film award of the Indian state of Karnataka given during the annual Karnataka State Film Awards. The award honours Kannada Language films.
