House Of Representatives Of Thailand
The House of Representatives ( th, สภาผู้แทนราษฎร; ; ) is the lower house of the National Assembly of Thailand, the legislative branch of the Thai government. The system of government of Thailand is that of a constitutional monarchy and a parliamentary democracy. The system of the Thai legislative branch is modelled after the Westminster system. The House of Representatives has 500 members, all of which are democratically elected: 400 members were elected through single member constituency elections, while the other 100 are elected through party lists parallel voting. The roles and powers of the House of Representatives were enshrined in the Constitution of 2017 which was amended in 2021. Jurin Laksanawisit (林明利) ( th, จุรินทร์ ลักษณวิศิษฎ์, born 15 March 1956) is a Thai Democrat Party (Thailand), Democrat Party politician and author. Thamanat Prompow
Thamanat Prompow, is the current Minister for Agriculture and Cooperatives of Thailand since 1 September 2023. He formerly served as the Deputy Minister of the Agriculture and Cooperatives Ministry of Thailand under second Prayut cabinet. He also served as chairman of the National Water Resources Committee (NWRC). He has long served as a political "fixer" for the military junta that assumed power in the 2014 Thai coup d'état. Thamanat has described himself as "the main artery" in Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha's 17-party government coalition which Thamanat helped forge in the 2019 Thai general election. He was born on 18 August 1965.
